So, I was getting a task ready and stumbled upon a parody song I did for a previous House Cup... linking for your amusement: "I Feel Like a Wizard"

 

I love looking at/listening to old tasks from previous years. They are quite hilarious and full of good times.

This week, for me, has been devoted to a) being violently ill and then getting over it and b) doing as many tasks as possible.

 

I shall not tell.



But yeah, the last week is always the most fun, desperation, sleepless nights and panic...

 

Definitely lots of fun, and that sleepless part....

I think I need more caffeine...

 

It's the early hours of Sunday morning here in Oz now, and I am flippin' wired on caffeine and zero sleep, I can tell you.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate deadlines?

So I'm seriously trying to figure out how you Europeans have done this in previous games. I feel like there's a lot of planning that needs to go into all this when the game ends at 9am your time.

Also, I missed out on the Friday Ravenclaw drinking so I think I'll just substitute it with Sunday drinking of celebration. Good plan, y/y?

But I mean... sleep! Do naps actually work? Dear lord. I'm taking my hat off to y'all for always doing this.

Actually being in Europe I think is easier. When I lived in the UK I would go to bed for a while and set my alarm for 5am and the game ended at 8am UK time. However now being in Canada it is harder because I have to stay awake and considering I get up 5am weekdays for the gym its going to mess up my body clock for the week. Hmmm think it is too late to convince my hubby to move to the UK?

 

After this game is over, I'm happy to talk about setting a different deadline time that works for everyone (or at least almost everyone) rather than keeping it at an awkward one.

 

Its been fine for the last few games just I changed my time table because I'm too tired after work to get my lazy butt to the gym so I get up earlier. Hopefully by the next game I would have lost all my excess weight so I won't be doing stupid hours in the morning

 

We also need to discuss point values on fanfics.

 

That too - someone already mentioned something about discussing point values. I'm totally down with that

 

Nat, there's really no compromise. Once you have one Head Prefect from America, one from Europe and one from Australia, you can't possibly choose a time that will be convenient for all of them...

Keep it as it is. Staying up all night is part of the fun. (and, of course, a chance to do some last-minute tasks... )

 

Agreed! Well, actually I agreed before you mentioned it in the thread, but yes. Discussion pertaining to fsnfics necessary.

I don't think there will ever be a convenient time for any of us, really, so I'd say keep it as it is. I'm just glad that the game ends on a weekend, so it really doesn't matter if I stay up late into the night. (okay, until 3:00am, but still... )

 

Yeah, I'm sure that was the point of always ending Saturday night.

Though, at least in the US, this is that idiotic "spring forward" time, which I didn't think of. It won't affect the game, since it won't hit the west coast until after the deadline, but that does mean it'll be 2 (again ), not 3, on the east coast.


I have to say, I'm totally pumped to see everything!!

 

*sigh* I have an hour before I have to go to work.
