So I got rid of most of the "criteria" part of the task list because it's long, boring, and no one reads it. Just don't submit crap and you'll be fine. k?

Head Boy/Girl Competition
Authorship of Tasks must be posted so that it may be determined who is the Head Boy or Girl. Simply add 'By [username here]' after each completed Task and I will add up how many points each member has contributed. The Head Boy or Girl will be announced at the same time as the winning House is, and this person will receive the title "Head Boy/Girl" (or whatever will fit in their title) for the week that the winning House has their colors. The Head Boy/Girl does not necessarily have to be from the winning house.
Repeat Tasks
If a non-repeatable task is done by more than one person, or if the limit on completed tasks is exceeded, then the first response/the number of the limit will be the amount of points counted into the House's total. However, each member will receive personal points toward the Head Boy/Girl competition for all tasks completed. Please don't abuse this to attempt to be Head Boy/Girl. If people do abuse this, I'll know since it will be pretty obvious and I'll make it so that repeat tasks/tasks over the limits won't count for anything at all. Non-repeatable tasks should not have repeats in the first place, but I will allow them without complaint as long as each separate response represents a different idea or viewpoint and you don't exceed 2 per task.
Posting Updates
The Head Prefect of each House should post the cumulative Final Task update unless they are not available, in which case another prefect should post them and make note of this fact. Any prefect can post the weekly updates, but please try to format them nicely so it takes me less time to add up points. If you put everything in the order it is on the Task List, or at least organized into categories, it helps everything go a lot faster for me.

NOTE: Check sources such as www.jkrowling.com for debunked rumors and such. I'll have a mini-spaz attack if you don't.

Books
Describe the magical properties of any potions ingredient or other object in the HP-verse. May do up to 10 and may make up magical properties as desired. 5 points.

Describe a wand (length, type of wood, magical core) for any character (except those we already know from the books). Contributed by Mar17swgirl. May do up to 10. 5 points.

Approximately how many Muggles currently know about the magical world? What were a few of the ways they discovered its existence? 10 points.

How exactly does the Owl mail system work? How do the owls know where to deliver a letter (ie: When Harry writes to Sirius, Sirius doesn't exactly have an address and yet Hedwig or the other owls can find him) ? 10 points.

How exactly did Dumbledore destroy the Horcrux contained within the ring without destroying the ring itself in Half-Blood Prince? 10 points.

Give a quote from any of the books that is so integral to the plot that taking it out would make the books no longer be the same? Explain the reasoning behind your choice. 10 points.

Discuss the significance of any character's name and how it relates to their character and personality and/or what happens to them throughout the books. May do up to 3. 10 points.

What would have happened if Sirius had actually had his name cleared in PoA and Wormtail been sent to Azkaban? Would Voldemort have been able to come back and would Sirius still have died in OOTP? 15 points.

What would have happened if Malfoy had been able to kill Dumbledore instead of Snape? Why was Malfoy incapable of killing Dumbledore in the first place? 15 points.

Pick a character and describe what you think their greatest weakness/flaw and their greatest strength is. Why? Give an example
