heels and I discussed this in the JCC NCCA Football thread, but heres the idea: Post who you think should be the top 15 in the country each week (we can do 25, but its usually easier to just do 15) and on Saturday morning (or late Friday night) I'll compile them all together and create a top 15/25 based on everyone's individual polls, which is the same way the actual polls work.

For starters, mine, as previously posted in the JCC:

    1. Ohio State
    2. Michigan
    3. Florida
    4. Notre Dame
    5. Arkansas
    6. Southern Cal
    7. LSU
    8. Rutgers
    9. West Virginia
    10. Wisconsin
    11. Louisville
    12. Texas
    13. Wake Forest
    14. Auburn
    15. Boise State

Alright, I'll repost from my weekly YJCC picks here. Ole Miss and LSU are still going at it, but I'm assuming LSU will win that one.

Haven't had many changes from last week's Top 15.

    Heels Top 15, 11/18
    1. Ohio State
    2. Michigan
    3. Southern Cal
    4. Florida
    5. Notre Dame
    6. Arkansas
    7. Wisconsin
    8. LSU (still pending, they could drop)
    9. Texas
    10. West Virginia
    11. Oklahoma
    12. Boston College
    13. Georgia Tech/Boise State
    14. BYU/Louisville/Rutgers
    15. Auburn

I'm assuming LSU will win that one.

...and they pull out a win in OT. That game shouldn't have been close.

Mine, not much change, especially since I'm not dropping UM for that close loss to OSU, because I think they're still better than anyone else out there:

    1. Ohio State
    2. Michigan
    3. Florida
    4. Notre Dame
    5. Arkansas
    6. Southern Cal
    7. Wisconsin
    8. LSU
    9. West Virginia
    10. Louisville
    11. Texas
    12. Auburn
    13. Boise State
    14. Rutgers
    15. Georgia Tech
    16. Boston College
    17. Oklahoma
    18. Virginia Tech

Ok, so thats 18, not 15, but still, its as many as I feel like ranking right now.

    1. Ohio State
    2. USC
    3. Michigan
    4. Notre Dame
    5. Florida
    6. Arkansas
    7. Wisconsin
    8. LSU

That is what I think the BCS will say tomorrow. It's also what it should say. I don't care who you are, you lose a game and you should drop. ND lost to the number two team in the nation and we dropped from two to twelve and wallowed there for weeks. It's unfair to USC to punish them for winning their game against a tough Cal opponent when Michigan lost their game, even to the number one.

Cal wasn't a pushover, USC may not have looked like world beaters but Cal has some serious offensive weapons that they did manage to contain all night.

Windu, these were the Top 3 last week.

    1 Ohio State 0.9765
    2 Michigan 0.9735
    3 USC 0.8699

That's over a full point between Michigan and USC, and that's MASSIVE.

It's very unlikely that a win over a team that lost to Arizona last week will be enough to shoot USC by Michigan this week--if they beat the Irish next week, then it's far more likely. Michigan lost by 3 to Ohio State at Ohio State--that's not going to hurt them that much. It's not like they lost to Oregon State or anything.

Take into account the human polls which are two thirds of the BCS equation. When OSU beat Texas, did they stay at number two in the human polls?

Add into the fact that the media has a love affair with USC and it's a done deal. The computer polls also do not take margin of victory into account, Michigan may as well have lost that game 100-3 and it wouldn't make a difference.

Just the way I see it...

And Michigan does remain at #2 in the BCS, but only barely - they'll need a SoCal loss at least for a rematch.
