Again, the difference is subtle. I polished up the blending of Bespin with its neighbors and added Yoda's blade.

 

Heya everyone.

I understand that there are some of you that have been hard at work but not yet ready to submit. Art cannot be rushed so I will be giving everyone one more week extension. Use this time to finalise and polish off your entries if you need to and entries will close at the end of this week.

I prefer my original second entry, but I wanted to post one submission that recognized the animated programs.

Small update: Due to schedule conflict this week, it will be Saturday when I am able to compile everyones entries and present to the panel of judges.

I'd love to see what people would come up with after TFA is released and we possibly get more official photos. A banner with young Luke, Leia and Han on one side with their older counterparts on the other side. Maybe with R2 and BB-8 in the middle separating them. I know we can't keep this contest going forever, but another contest maybe in January/February 2016 would be cool, then maybe another contest in 2017 after Rogue One comes out.

I think its better to include all three trilogies on the poster because that way it represents the forum more or just some original art.

Oh how I wish I could draw.

Okay, here is my entry for the challenge:


This was done as a tribute to the boards. Since the boards started around the time of the prequels, the Jedi Temple is the central focus and Coruscant as the galactic centre. The aim behind it is to represent the different facets and perspectives we have here on the boards. Something for everyone while keeping within the theme.

Soon I will post up a list of everyone's entries. Once that is up, we will officially be closed for further entries though feedback and critiques can still continue.

 

I want to thank everyone that has entered, participated in this thread and provided feedback.
