I'm back !

Actually I only spent a week in Cornwall but that was enough!Not that it's not a nice place for a break - but what exactly is there to do in Cornwall ?

Heres what I did

We stayed at landsend ....went to Flambards ...stayed at Landsend .....got really ill...sat in a tent on the beach in the boiling sun with the worst headache ever and then went home!

I blame the headache on the day before when I decided it would be a good idea to recreate the Padme falling out of the Gunship scene to see the effect it would have -not a good idea - What I did was throw myself down the big sandy hill at Porthcuerno[spelling?]The problem is as I rolled I picked up more and more speed [obvious really!] and couldn't stop I tried to stand halfway but fell on my face and carried on rolling.My Mum just carried on Photoing!
Once I stopped I tried to get up again but just fell [many times!]the worst dizziness I've ever had!
No wonder she lays down dead for a while before getting up

Got the pics back the other day-highlights include

-My legs bending in impossible directions as I fly down the hill.

-Me and my sister sat on a rock looking miserable as we both feel ill

-My Dad talking to a goat

So how are you all?
Sure is slow -2 pages in 2 weeks

 

sounds like you had an interesting time

now luke is mod it's only ever me lurking in Plymouth so i don't talk to myself, hence the slow page turn

Stuey -Yeah I'll have to send you them photies at some point -still can't figure out how my knee and foot bent like they did as they are in the photo and still be ok!

Got my big interview tomorow for Bournemouth Arts institute -Model Making for design and media -i think waht swung that course for me is the fact that a large number of students who leave go into prop making and minatures for major films -including in the past TPM and Sleepy Hollow!

If I get on that course it's a chance to do what I love -if not than I'll have to console myself by making a life size King kong head in polystyrene -latex and fibreglass

 

I could always send my evil android me instead!

good luck, i never had any interviews for any where i applied. but none of mine are as specialist as yours

Cheers -it went really well [I think ]-all I have to do now is wait for a reply which could be around 4 weeks.It was quite funny walking around with a bloody great folder and all my props strapped to my back -I had a large cattle prod thing strapped to one side of the backpack [ghostbuster style] with some curly wire [which dangled all the way to the floor] connecting to a charger pack on the other side.I had an Indy style artifact in the backpack with my prototype police surveillance camera under my arm and my prototype handheld games console in my pocket-good job I didn't go in my riot helmet -they'd of thought I was even more nuts than I already looked!

 

first impressions are always important and i would have definitely given you a place for turning up like that. good to hear it went well
