Hello Charis, this is indeed my first fan-fic, but I can already promise that this is just chapter 1 of 20+. And there will be 2 sequels.

 

Sounds like you have planned it well.

 

Yeah, I have planned a lot already. But thats because I had to much ideas for just 1 story.

Edit: And I couldn't decide in the beginning in what for time era to place it. Now Force Abduction is during TPM, the 1st sequel 5/6 years later and the 2th during AOTC and during the Jedi Academy books.

 

Sounds good - I'll definitely take a look at it later when I get a quiet moment. I like the fanfic forum on here, but it's sometimes frustrating because I have to wait for the next bit. Mind you, it keeps me in suspense

 

Thats good Charis, but its on the website of Luke, not on the fanfic boards here. Do you tell me what you think of it after reading?

 

Ok, I'll PM you later tonight with my opinion. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to fanfic - I like a good read and if it's SW then so much the better

I'm not a fan of the New Jedi Order, but I like the New Jedi Order fanfics.

Do you find it hard writing the fanfic in English?

Ok, can't wait to hear your reaction then. I read an awful lot. The New Jedi Order is 1 of my favorites, but lucky for you then my stories will be before that.

I don't find it hard to write in English. As said above, I read an awful lot. That sure comes handy now. And I first wrote the chapter in Dutch and then translated. That is quite easy for me too (speak sometimes better English then Dutch now ).

Guess that is one of the bonuses of the Internet - helps improve your English no end.

Yeah, thats the bonus of internet. And Stuey already admitted once that I speak better English then him

 

I can well believe it. And very few of us Brits speak foreign languages - guess we are lazy.

 

I think that Dutch education at that point is just better.

 

I guess that can be said for every European country.

All we study is a bit of French and maybe some German. Everybody else speaks English, or we expect them to.

Will you be attending the European meet in Paris next year?

 

We learn: English (starts at age 12 or so), Dutch (ofcourse ), French and German (after 3 years we choose between 1 of them), next year in other school/study I get spanish instead of german/French.

I dont think I will have the money for that meeting.

 

That's a shame I'm hoping to try to make the meet but it's a long way off.

I seem to remember we had English classes. At least I remember being forced to read some very boring books Actually, I was lucky to go to a school that still taught prose and grammar as separate lessons. But I've picked up some bad habits

Well, I've picked up a lot of bad habits over the years lol Being 34 years old means I've picked up rather a lot indeed

English wise - my grammar is terrible. And I use too many "-" instead of commas.
