OOC Jon is a knight, not a padawan, but I can understand any mistakes made by Radiance. By the way in a modification to my character I want to point out that Jon Antilles can be allot like a Star Wars BAtman

Jon Antilles twisted around in is chair and placed his datapad on the shelf. He sat back and relaxed inhaling as he did calling on the force to unify him. Focusing on the force he dissapeared practicing his technique of force concealment.

As the panther responded in speech to Torrin he nearly shrieked again. Torrin took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Panthers can't talk. Even Panthers who hang around with Jedi are still just panthers.
When Torrin opened his eyes again the panther morph into the Jedi Master he recognized as Master Tenro, the Grand Master.
Torrin's eyes widened and he could feel color leaving his face and then returning quickly and too much. He blushed with embarassment over the way he had trvialized a being who could squash him like a fefze beetle.
"I...I am Torrin Katu. From Adumar." Torrin replied, annoyance rising at the thought of this penniless Jedi making one of the richest people in the galaxy stutter.
Part of him then realized what an undertaking becoming a Jedi would. And the Power he would wield. The Power.
"I am new here and had some training on Adumar...I was hoping to continue my training here." Torrin Katu replied, it was all true...except it was all on Kuat.

Rikten walked straight into the Archives. In one of the center tables, he found a man invisible in the Force, with a holobook before him. Rikten smiled. He seemed to be practicing the same technique that he had just employed. He found the skill a useful one, at the worst of times. Such a simple ability could save your life on a good day.

?Knight Antilles, May I suggest something? If you are novice to the technique, practice sneaking up on Masters. It?s good fun and allows you to test your mettle under the greatest difficulty readily available.?

Rikten strode forward and hopped into a seat, letting Force flow through his body to the metal. He lifted the chair up a few inches, so he could easily see the other Knight?s face.

(Sorry bout the long inactive period, but I'm back home so hope things go a little easier now. Welcome to the new guys in the game hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I do)

IC:Knight Tarik Veda/Master Rhaz Quinin
Hangar Bay, Jedi Temple

Most jedi usually reserved the evening hours of the day for their own personal leisures as they saw fit, and Tarik Veda since his younger days as an initate reveled in that aspect of jedi life. All was quiet within the hangar bay for the shield doors where drawn up now that evening had began except for sounds of a hydrospanner working endlessly under the half destroyed fighter that had been flown in from Wayland about a week ago.

"This is so much more easier when R-9's running the fighter's system's manually", the week old jedi knight muttered to himself briefly thinking of his out of order flight counterpart as he attempted to tighten a new hyperdrive fuel line into place where the old one had been scorched right off.

On and on commentary of the sort had escaped Tarik's sweat stained lips since he had left the holding room being used for Kaelis, and instead of attending Tenro's instructional had opted to get started on his ships repairs. In his working clothes Tarik resemebled nothing to the young powerful jedi knight that had been apprenticed to fame jedi master diplomat Rhaz Quinin, and at times Tarik enjoyied the times when he could just be himself without the weight that being a jedi carries. A loud snarl, grunt, and then a plea sounded as he wrestled with the unbending fuel line until after much strain it finally clicked into place Tarik quickly tightening it their with a sigh of relief as he slid himself out from under the damaged starfighter to observe his work.

"Another task down a million left to go", the grease stained jedi mused to himself as he grabbed his discarded tunic to wipe the sweat of his brow when his increasingly sharp growing hearing picked up a set of footsteps approaching the figure all to familliar to him within the Force.

"I'm guessing that your looking for a place to hide out for a while after that productive meeting you had with Yiko?" Tarik sarcastically greeted the newcommer with a smirk on his lips that only broadened with the look upon his former master's features.

"Don't presume to know everything young one", a rather weary sounding Rhaz Quinin greeted his former padawan before a twinkle in his eyes suggested that a sound retort was on it's way. "Your channels of communications down in the Administration Hall might of given you an off account of what happened under my direction", the jedi master suggested evenly holding his young friends gaze before both broke into a light chuckle that echoed throughout the hangar.

"Any luck with the ship?" Rhaz posed his question as he took a moment to survey the wreck of a starfighter before him as he sensed Tarik's feelings over the matter.

"Got the fuel line in along with a few other things for starter's, but the cosmetic repair's are going to be a while", the jedi knight answered informatively though his tone was definitely empty of the usual bounce it possessed.

Standing there one half dressed with a hydrospanner in hand while the other looked like it had just finished a vicious battle with a vine snake both allowed a moment of silence to sift between them before the sounds of Tarik cleaning up the area soon filled the air. A brief sweep of cool air through the hangar chilled the remains of sweat on his body that Tarik quickly threw his tunic back on to help shield the cold.

"So what's new with good old Yiko heard he got promoted to coordinator", Tarik stated knowingly as he placed his tools back to where he had retrieved them from before shutting the hatch over the cockpit once again.

"He is still the same man you remember him to be though with his new station he definitely has become somewhat more demmanding then ever

"I...I am Torrin Katu. From Adumar." The young man stuttered to the interest of Tenro.

"I am new here and had some training on Adumar...I was hoping to continue my training here."

Tenro bore into his mind with those cat-eyes of his. Searching the Force for an indication. There was the hint of something that didn't settle with Tenro. This young man had a lust for power, and was used to getting it.

Xanatos
Dooku

Both had come from rich families, both had been trained as Jedi, and both had fallen to the darkside and wreaked havoc upon the Order in their respective times. So what should Tenro do now? He had heared of Master Jervol's departure from the temple years ago, without the permission of the council to train Torrin. Now Torrin was here and Jervol was not.

"And what happened to the Master that had been training you exactly? I am eager to see him again."

Tenro knew the answer but wanted to see what kind of response the boy would produce.

Rade smiled and nodded as Kaelis took his hand.

"Help me find what was lost brother, help me help those who have fallen from grace....I am vengeance....I am justice...."

"And I am Truth. Together we can help bring the universe back into peace. Without the iron fist."

Rade gripped Kaelis' hand tightly, finally, their eternal struggle was over. There would be many rocky paths ahead. But with their combined strength, and force of Will, they could overcome anything.

"For now, I can't have you released. Not yet. We will need your help with information about Shadra, where he is going, what he is planning. The other Masters need to see that you are redeemed. I will bring them down as soon as you are ready. Contact me with the Force. And welcome to the light..."

Rade clapped his friend on the shoulder and walked from the room. Finding Faye waiting for him outside.

"That was difficult for you.."

Radiant flashed her a smile.

"It is more difficult to see a friend struggling to swim, and to simply push their heads under the water, instead of thrusting a hand at them to bring them back to the surface. In that respect. I have done harder things."

They both walked the halls of the Temple. Making their way down to the cafeteria

"Come on Fay'ika, lets get some food. I'll get you anything you want. Skies the limit!"

Faye looked over at him with a bland expression.

"What a charmer you are.... considering it's free...."

Torrin Katu

Torrin did not like waiting. And he liked waiting under the scrutiny of Jedi Master even less. As Master Tenro asked him about Jervol, his previous Master, Torrin felt prongs of smugness and shame rise in him all at once. He clamped down on then quickly. He did not need to reveal his secrets here. He also needed to see his fixer about certain assurance that no one would find out who he really was. The fact that Tenro knew that Jervol trained him made him realize that Tenro also must know Torrin's real name. He would have to tred lightly.

"Unfortunately we had a...falling out. As Master Jervol left his shuttle suffered a complete reactor failure and crashed into a bulk transport. While we didn't see eye to eye on certain things we were all lessened by his loss." Torrin replied, letting his head drop.

The feeling of smugness took over again, Jervol did have an engine failure...everything he told Tenro was true. Tenro didn't need to know his family had arranged for the engine failure.

"We disagree on the art of shatterpoint...he said I had a naturally talent for it but couldn't teach it to me because I was still too inexperienced. I disagreed." Torrin replied, again in truth. "I hope this does not reflect on your decision for training Grand Master."

Rikten returned the wry smile with a chuckle of his own. He hadn?t been mistaken for a Master before, but maybe he was aging faster than usual. He wouldn?t have expected that, because he was young in the eyes of his people.

?Oh, I?m not that respectable, yet. Catch me in a year or so and you can give me the same title, though. And, hey, if it fits your fancy, you can call me Master all you like.?

Rikten?s squeaky voice cut trough the calm of the archives. He used it to answer the kid?s other question and it?s high pitch made music with his response.

?I?m pretty good with a lightsaber, but I really like lifting stuff off the ground and stuff.?

Mixed feelings rolled off of Torrin as he explained Jervol's death. Just before Tenro could get a fix on what those feelings were with impressions in the Force they were clamped down and controlled.

I see.... This reminds me of the relationship between Luke Skywalker and his student Brakiss.... But Brakiss turned bad in the end.... Will this one do the same? Perhaps I can stamp it out of him....Then again the last real failure was left lying dead in a shuttle bound for Korriban... But what to do with THIS one.....?

"There have been many differing opinions on the art of Shatterpoint. I doubt that Master Jervol had the necessary skill in the subject to compitently teach it. It is a tragic loss for the Jedi now that he is gone. We shall mourn him."

Tenro said this while gazing down almost, coldly. What should he do? This was not an ideal situation. Tenro searched desperately in the young man that stood before him for a sign or spark of goodness. But sensed only desire for power and a spoiled nature. Tenro made his decision. He tugged at his comlink and opened the line.

"Tarik... Please come to the main entrance hall, bring your travel gear. I have a task for you."

He returned the comlink to his belt and leaned down very close to the face of Torrin.

"I appologize for the dissapointment. But I am affraid that we cannot train you here. Your mentality and demeanor are inapropriate for Jedi training. I am however, sending a Knight to accompany you back to your home. Once there he will investigate what happened to Master Jervol. Somehow I just don't see something like a reactor failing while a Jedi Master is piloting a vessel. Freak accidents happen, true. But Knight Veda will be sure to make certain that it was indeed an accident. Again I appologize for the needless journey. May the Force guide your travels, young Master..."

Tenro gave a short, curt bow and turned on his heel to walk further into the temple. A guardian joined him before Torrin was out of sight and Tenro spoke quietly to him.

"Watch him, he is not to leave this entrance hall until Knight Veda arrives to escort him home. Understand?"

The Jedi Guardian gave a brisk nod. "It will be done Master."

The two had never made eye contact.

The Jedi Guardian split off from Tenro as they came to the turbo lift, the guardian reached for his own comlink and the Jedi standing on either side of the main door exchanged a quick glance to be sure that both had the message.

Once he was in the safety of the turbolift, Tenro opened the line to Tarik once more.

"Tarik, there is a young man with a large amount of baggage waiting for you in the main entrance hall. I want you to escort him back to his home planet. He is a failed Jedi candidate. But your mission is two fold. Once he has made it back safely, you are to investigate the death of Master Jervol. The official report says that he had a reactor failure on his shuttle upon leaving the planet. But the Force is nagging at me. I want you to check it out. Key points to this mission to remember are as follows;

Master Jervol left to train this young man without the consent of the council.
Torrin's family wields a lot of power, they are very wealthy and carry a lot of weight.
The Force seems distorted within young Torrin. He has raw talent. So be extra careful.

Tarik, this mission sounds simpler than it may be. It could very well be a blue milk run, but on the other hand, trust your instincts, keep your wits about you. And make sure your eyes are sharp the entire time. Do not let your guard down. Ever. If you want company on this mission let me know. I'll send someone with you. Other than that, May the Force be with you."

Anger roiled off Torrin like Tattooine's twin suns scorching the planet dry.
Denied? DENIED? How could he be denied? HOW could HE be denied? He was Torrin Kuat, heir to the Kuat Drive Yards! He took what he wanted and didn't take no for an answer.

Torrin, choked with anger was about to snarl some retort at the Grand Master but something distracted him.
A Jedi Master entered the main hall, he was a glowing nimbus of blow Force energy far more powerful then he had ever been in life. Torrin did not even notice that everything else in the Jedi Temple had stopped. The now-infinitely powerful Jedi Master stopped in front of Torrin, who was now completely pale.

"M-Master J-J-Jervol." Torrin stammered.
He groped for his lightsaber but it was packed in his luggage.

"Now, Torrin, you truly think I would expend the energy to come all the way here just to mangle your silly body?" Jervol half smirked. "You daft boy did you not listen to a word I taught you? Well...if you had I would probably still be alive. At any rate I have not come to harm you, I have come to warn you. That Jedi Master there, Tenro, he was a good friend and competent Jedi. But, he was something else too. He is the last chance the Jedi Order has. I could feel your lust for power from the moment I met you. What you failed to learn from me was the correct use of that power. Power in and of itself is useless as you are about to learn. If you are sent away you will waste away. You have potential, otherwise I would have never started to train you. Master Tenro is your last hope, lest you become another impotent Kuati nobleman."
Torrin reached for that place in his heart where his anger resided, ready to spew an acidy rebuke to Jervol's Force-Ghost and he found there was no anger there to use. Even no in the face of insult and embarrassment his anger could not help him, but humility could.
This was new ground for Torrin...he was stubborn as a Barabel but he try.
And succeed. I don't do failure. Torrin thought to himself.
Jorval disappeared and the Jedi Temple was moving as normal again, no one giving any indication they had seen Jervol.
"Er...Master Tenro, could I have a moment before I ago? I need to tell..um...admit something to you...privately." Torrin said calmly.

Life as a jedi was never a thing of probable measures Tarik had learned long ago, and the fact that he had received a mission within a five minute comlink conversation with Master Tenro was no surprise especially that he was a knight now. He had packed his things quickly after excusing himself from his dinner with Master Rhaz who gave him a knowing shrug aware that many instances would fill their lives now that Tarik was a knight, and a acknowledging head nod was all he could spare in Radiant's direction as he pass them on his way back to his quarters.

*Thirty minutes later*

Tarik dressed in traditional jedi attire his hair which had gained some length was styled in a slick fashion now made his way down towards the position Master Tenro had indicated he would find the jedi hopeful turned away to find nothing except some luggage with no owner present to claim them. A small frown of annoyance crept upon his features before Tarik released his frustrations into the Force with ease while taking up his comlink opening the channel to Master Tenro clearing his throat as the signal became open.

"Master Tenro come in it's Tarik.............I can't seem to find the one I was to escort on my mission though his luggage remains still in the middle of the corridor", Tarik informed the grandmaster as his eyes wondered exactly who in the galaxy might own so much. "I await your word on the matter", he added as he carefully moved the inhibiting bit's of luggage so the corridor would be open once again to those wishing to walk down it.

IC: Andre Hagan

The master sat in the fountain gardens concentrating, attempting to use the power he had been taught. Minutes passed, then hours. Perhaps he should have tried something less complicated. But how was he to know? It was a painting that had been salvaged from the shuttle crash he had been found at, it depicted several creatures and the master had chosen on at random. Although his eyes were closed and could not see it, brief changes kept phasing back and forth between the creature and his normal self.

He would have chosen something simpler now if he had not spent so much effort already. Already he began to feel his form changing, altering to that of another creature he knew almost nothing about and then finally it all came in a rush and he was left looking through eyes that gave a very clear and focused view of the world around him, although it was tinted very slightly red. Looking into his new reflection in a nearby pool, his eyes widened, he had made it although it had taken half the day. He was a large eagle like creature, bigger then most, with black feathers and brilliant red highlights amongst them. He cheered but it came out as an eagle's high pitched call and it echoed about the gardens.

Despite the small tint of red, his eyes remained the striking blue he normally had. Looking up to the high arched ceiling he let instinct take over as he launched himself, his wings carrying him up to one of the upper corners of the vast room, landing gently on one of the fixtures there before letting out another eagle screech. His wings flared before launching into a gliding dive through one of the larger doors as it opened, the padawan entering stared at the black and red blur that passed above him.

He flew gleefully through the hallways, several occupants ducked as he flew by, trying to stay to the upper portions of the higher hallways. He banked into the archives, folding his wings to make it through the door do to their wingspan, Before climbing up through the multistory chambers and perching on the decoration in the center of the vaulting ceiling and taking a breather from the exhilaration. The though of changing back did not bear thinking on at the moment, he certainly was not done yet and the master felt younger, even younger then that he appeared.

IC: Tenro

Before Torrin could speak, Tenro felt Tarik's confusion in the Force. He sent a nudge to Tarik to get his attention so that the Knight would come over. Regardless of what Torrin told him right now, this confession of sorts... Tarik was at least still going to go investigate. Jervol had been a... wayward Jedi to say the least, free spirited at best. But he was still a Jedi, and part of the family. His death was indeed an impact on the Force, and the strength of the Jedi.

He would be mourned later, in the appropriate time. For the last week the Jedi had been lax in their responsibilities. Tenro had a stack of missions that needed to be assigned. And very few people with which to assign them to. He too, would soon be on missions of his own simply to help ease the burden for the rest of the Temple's Knights, and Masters.

For now he had to hear out this explaination that Torrin had for him.

"Again we do appreciate the Jedi council accepting this task as worthy of sending the two of you. We are in dire need."

The director laced her fingers together in front of her as she leaned against her desk, and let out a sigh.

"Down do business though, I am sure you are eager to explore the reason why you were brought here. Years and years and years ago the clone wars raged. A bloody part of history to be sure. The Seperatist's general at that time, General Grievous, found Republic forces orbiting the planet and obliterated them, then turned his attention to the planet. He had his fleet bombard our ecumenopolis into molten slag for an entire hour. The assault left the surface devestated and destroyed. Ever since the end of the Clone Wars, the restoration project has been underway, trying to restore our city-planet to it's former stature. We have succeeded thus far, occasionaly there were disturbances in the rebuilding process but never to the degree that we have faced recently. The Humbarine restoration project is 98% completed. We only have 2 sectors left to rebuild and are in the final stages of both. However we have been getting money and support from the Republic of today. It seems we have angered old Seperatist sympathisers. We have had numerous failures in construction equipment, beyond a shadow of a doubt, sabatage. And recently some of our workers haven't been showing up for work. The key contractors for the building process as well. They have all dissapeared without a trace. No clues to where they are, if they are still alive or anything. Local law enforcement is completely baffled as to what is happening. Point in fact, we cannot complete this planet's rebuilding if these attacks on our equipment continue. So far we have been set back 2 million credits worth of equipment. The attacks are frequent and silent. Extra security on the machines has done nothing but step up the sabatoge attempts."

Her voice took a desperate pleading tone.

"We just.. don't know what to do anymore. So we turned to you. The only information we have on our attackers is that they wear shoulder capes and sometimes carry long staff like objects. Only one has ever been seen or reported but with the frequency of attacks, it seems like there are at least 5, as an absolute minimum. The majority of the attacks have been taking place in the center plaza building district. We have been trying to rebuild the Prime Ministers office there. That is all the information we have. I do so hope you both are able to put a stop to this so that we may finally restore our planet!"

The Force nudge was indication enough as Tarik felt the grandmaster's intentions through the Force, and obeyed but not before he charged two padawans to move the luggage that had sat unattended down to the Administration Hall to be left under his name until he claimed them later.

"Take the luggage down to the Administration Hall................and don't remove anything from it no matter how tempting it seems...........trust me it's not worth scrubbing floors if you should", Tarik informed the two who he knew were definitely the sort to try something for the lone fact both had the same gleam he used to possess when faced with a possible oppurtunity to come up on some material possessions.

A mental chuckle sounded off in Tarik's mind as he heard the grumbling behind him while he made his way to Tenro's quarters. After a few nolstagic moments Tarik shifted his focus back to the current situation at hand allowing himself to grasp wholly upon the Force's currents, and as he came up to Tenro's quarters where he found the grandmaster and another Tarik awaited the Force's directive to how his role would be involved in the matter.

"Master", Tarik greeted the grandmaster with a bow before turning to the unknown guest who he sensed was the owner of the luggage downstairs. "I am sorry for my intrusion I did not know you had a guest master.........Hello I am Tarik Veda", he greeted formally his features neutral with a hint of warmth a trait he exhibted more out of habit as he extended a hand towards the unknown man standing before him.

"Master Quinin. Mind if I join you?"

Rhaz looked up to find Daralyn standing infront of him with a tray of food, and a wave of his hand indicated that the young initate should take a seat. Tarik had received his mission call from Tenro not more then an hour ago, and in that hour Rhaz realized just how much had changed both in his life and in that of the Order's. It was a comforting idea that such progression had happened in his lifetime, yet it also signalled to Rhaz that he to had progressed in age now almost fifty-five standard years old.

"Please do Daralyn I would be more then pleasured to have such fine company this evening", Rhaz replied solemnly as he regained his efforts eating dinner allowing his nolstagic thoughts to fade away for another time.

"How was your time in Master Tenro's instructional", Rhaz prompted the younger jedi remembering that the Force had continued to drive his focus towards Daralyn very much the same way it had down when he first met a mischief filled ten year old who became a part of his life he could never tear away.

Algaliarept listened intently, hiding what he was thinking behind a mask of serenity. They would be challenged here, especially since they might have to go undercover to root out the culprits. "We will do our best to end this problem, Director Charis," he said, bowing slightly.

Sabriel worked on hiding her feelings from the Director. She wasn't doing a very good job though. When the director said how much they had been set back, a look of shock crossed her face, and was quickly shoved away.

"We will do our best to end this problem, Director Charis."

Sabriel bowed as well, and got to her feet. "The main area we need to protect right now seems to be the area where you're rebuilding the Prime Minister's office," she said, thinking. "And we need to find the saboteurs as well..." She let her words trail off as she thought about what that might entail.

"Ahh interesting. I too enjoy lightsaber combat though I do see myself as a master of stealth and sabotage. Hmm I know this sounds proposterous but how about a quick duel I am sure nobody will mind."

IC Daralyn:

"How was your time in Master Tenro's instructional?"

"It was interesting." Pause. "I...never saw anything quite like that before." Truth be told, seeing someone transform into a different type of being was just a tad disconcerting. Daralyn munches on some of his food while talking...though not talking with his mouth full, naturally. "I didn't realize anyone could do that."
