Has anyone read The Joiner King yet? I have not gotten around to it, but will do so shortly. What do you all think about it? Let's use this to discuss this book and the upcoming two books. Spoilers are always allowed.

I'm gonna head down to B&N sometime soon (probably tomorrow) and pick it up. But I've got a couple of library books checked out that I've gotta finish first before I can start it.

I would have had it read by now, but I'm finishing the last two New Jedi Order books.

I just picked this up over the weekend and can't wait to dive into it.
It also comes with the e-book, "Ylesia" from the New Jedi Order.
JediJason, how are you liking the NJO? I thought it ruled!!

The NJO is totally awesome. I am especially liking The Final Prophecy, I've got less than 100 pages to go in that one. The NJO is the best in the EU.

    I enjoyed them a lot.
We got to meet R.A. Salvatore at the first Celebration in Denver and he kept saying to the people waiting in line for his autograph, "You guys are gonna hate me after you read this book",
he was referring to Vector Prime. :D

I can see why some people hated him. I did not like it that Chewie got killed. But it worked because at some point a main character had to die.

    I agree.
We saw quite a few characters die and planets trashed, mostly from the EU(but not all, ie:Coruscant) Still pretty significant stuff as far as I'm concerned. I've always been a big fan of the books and comics and whether or not some people consider them canon, there's some great stories out there.
Oh, and I just started the Joiner King last night! :)

Tell me how you like it. I started the Unifying Force last night. Should be well into The Joiner King by the end of the weekend. Heard good things about it on the official site.

I'm sure I'll read it. I read all of them. As long as it's better than the Courtship of Princess Leia.

I actually didn't think that was that bad. In my opinion, there are much worse Star Wars novels out there.

Never read those, but I heard they were pretty bad. What I hated was The Black Fleet Crisis and the Han Solo Adventures.
