Beyond - Legends The Jon Rassick Saga

These are a series of stories, set quite a while after ROTJ, that I've posted elsewhere and were pretty well-received. I thought I would post summaries of each of them here, and then let you all decide if I should post the actual stories.

There are 3 parts:



VENGEANCE OF THE SITH:

Thousands of years have passed since the Galactic Civil War. The ruthless SITH have formed an empire and begun a fierce campaign against the righteous NEW REPUBLIC. The Sith warriors, well trained in the hideous power of the dark side of the Force, easily best the standard infantry troops that are thrown against them. To counter the Sith threat, the New Republic creates a special new division of its military ? one composed entirely of battle-hardened Jedi Knights.

MAJOR JON RASSICK is one such Jedi. Second-in-command of the greatest battalion of the Jedi military division, he is a mighty Jedi Knight and an outstanding soldier as well. He has fought the Sith ever since they murdered his parents when he was just a boy. For him, this war is as personal as a punch in the face.

Rassick and his beautiful Padawan learner, LOLA NURO, lead numerous raids, and using guerilla tactics, defeat the Sith in various successful engagements. Eventually a mission goes awry and Rassick?s apprentice is killed by RORLAK ? a menacing Sith assassin, who is also responsible for the deaths of Rassick?s parents! Jon barely escapes with his life.

After being informed by his superiors of deadly new Sith weapons being developed, Rassick joins forces with legendary gunfighter HICKS COLGAN and launches an all-out assault on a Sith research facility. The facility is ultimately destroyed and Rorlak is defeated.

The New Republic has won, for now ? but at a high price?



THE ERA OF CHAOS:

The war between the New Republic and the Sith Empire rages on. Jon Rassick is sent to a remote world to gather intelligence on the Sith war effort. He gets more than he bargained for after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt and discovering a sinister Sith plot to conquer the remote New Republic worlds and surround the capital planet of Coruscant!

He heads to the planet Dantooine, the next Sith target. Before landing at the NEW REPUBLIC COLONY, his ship is shot down by Sith scouts. After battling and evading the enemy soldiers, he finds an outpost that has already been all but destroyed by the Sith. A lone survivor informs him of an enormous Sith force that has already arrived on the planet and is on its way to capture the colony!

Despite being pursued by additional Sith soldiers Rassick makes it to the colony, but his reports of a forthcoming attack are met with skepticism ? until the humongous Sith army comes into view! With no time to evacuate, the colonists muster up a last-ditch defense in an attempt to drive the invaders off. Although Rassick and the colonists fight valiantly, the Sith warriors are too strong and too many, and the defenders are swiftly overrun. Rassick and a few others are captured by Sith Knights. The enemy take complete control of the colony for their own use.

Rassick comes to in a Sith facility, where he finds technology being used by the enemy to infuse the dark side of the Force into prisoners of war, creating new Sith warriors. Rassick and the colony commander ? the only surviving prisoners yet to be turned ? try to make good their escape, only to have the commander stay behind at the last possible moment, sacrificing himself to flatten the facility.

Our hero is informed of a corrupt smuggling ring that has been supplying the Sith with most of their weapons and vehicles. He infiltrates the gangsters? hideout, and, after his cover is blown, he is forced to kill them all.

Rassick then receives word of a secret factory where the Sith?s technology to infuse the power of the Force into new ?recruits? is created. Upon his arrival, he initiates an epic lightsaber duel with a Sith Master of terrible power, and, after besting him, destroys the factory.
