ST The jump to light speed in Ep VII

It will be the same. Personally I would love to see the stars elongation transition into that blue hyperspace tunnel we see the Falcon decelerate from in ROTJ, at least to reinforce the idea that these ships do in fact travel faster than 'light'. Even at light speed it would take centuries to traverse the galaxy.

 

If anything gets updated, it will be the light tunnel.

 

I'd like them to touch up the hyperspace scenes. But I'm afraid we'll get the same old same old.

 

Whenever I watch that these days, it looks like they used tin foil or a plastic tarp for the effect. Definitely needs to be updated.

 

I loved the Prequels but the one lacking area of the film for me was that unlike the originals the prequels did not have that iconic Jump to LIGHT SPEED ....

 

What did you think of the jump to lightspeed in the trailer?

 

I didn't have a problem with it.

 

I liked it quite a bit, it was a very cool shot.
