Whoa, that's ridiculous. WTH kinda shipping rates do they have? Had it been $18-$20 with the shipping rates, I'd say go. My advice is to check other sites, like Borders, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble, and compare the prices.

 

So how much would these books be worth? Since they're so hard to find and all.

I saw one site that had the Golden Globe (JJK book 1) for 19 cents. But the shipping is 3 or 4 dollars.

I've checked pretty much every major book distributor, and most of the minor ones. You can get the books used for an average of 3 dollars. But the shipping will kill you.

I worked for quite a while with a mailing/shipping buisness, and I know those systems quite well. But I don't know why they are charging so much for that service. They say that it is a 5-14 day service. That means that they are doing it at a book rate, media mail. That is the old, 3rd class mail system. Problem with it, is that there is a 1lb limit to use it. So no matter how small the book is, they are getting charged for 1lb. It would be a lot cheaper just to use 1st class mail. Apparently, they don't know that.

So, the absolute cheapest that I can possibly find it online is the whole series for 32 dollars including shipping.

 

I'll just find my way to a used bookstore and buy 'em.

The Golden Globe was one of the first SW books I read, way back when I just got into Star Wars... I was already a fan of Anakin from reading the Jedi Academy trilogy (come on. how can you NOT love him when he's barely 6 months old, and there are so many elaborate plots to kidnap him? one, anyway..)
And then my mum bought me GG one weekend, and I fell in love. Just... wow.

And now I don't even HAVE it! *cries*

3MD how old are you? And Lyric's World was the first SW book I read period. Well 'cept Prophets of the Darkside, but I didn't really like that, though it does explain where Luke, Leia, and Han were before Han started commanding the Zsinj task force.

I saw JJK @ a bookstore in Nashville about 8 months ago, they had 5-6 of the books, plus they had YJK and NJO(don't flame Wes). I picked up on of the YJK books, Return to Ord Mantel.

Well, Tahiri would probably about 18 and Anakin 20. They wouldn't get married until the age difference wasn't noticable.

 

I prefer to think of it as if the NJO really hadn't happened, since the NJO killed SW lit and all.

I think it would depend on how much time they spent together. We know Anakin would have eventually come back to Tahiri, even without the YV menace. But Anakin saved her life by realizing that he loved her in the NJO. He would have to do something else drastic to realize that if the YV didn't come.

That being said, I think that they would marry each other as young as 17 and 19. What do they care for rules?

I ordered the JJK books. So far two of them have come in.

 

Well, I think they wouldve waithed til ANikan was in his mid 20's, 23-25, but they wouldve seriously dated much earlier.
