    what does that even mean? you don't have stick everything canon in the films but things that are in canon can be used.

    films that are based on books like the harry potter series don't put every single thing in the films. those thing still exist in the canon though. tcw, rebels, and the canon books, comics, etc, let you go deeper into the universe and stand with the films. especially now that they have a story group to make sure things line up.

    I think the point is that while TCW is canon, that that's more to do with how much of the established lore they want to keep, rather than being about every thing contained within being an ongoing concern; there are some things which are canon that are unlikely to ever be mentioned in the films, maul being alive chief amongst them

    To say to the much needed demographic of
    the Star Wars franchise "Everything you know and like about Star Wars is not relevant" is not market savy, is all encompassing and absolute. The opposite gives creative selection to directors that can go into that "store" and pick what items they wish to further their vision.
