The Kell Tainer Fan Club

This is a monument to a highly under-rated character, the "really annoying mechanic". He's served in Wraith Squadron for twenty years, has a Jedi wife, a Jedi son, an awesome sense of humor, and a hot hand on a flight stick. Kell Tainer!

 

I've only read of Kell in Rebel Stand, but he seemed pretty cool. Eventually I'll get around to reading the Wraith books.

 

Yeah I've also only read about Kell in Rebel Stand and a little bit of Rebel Dream but he sounds like a really interesting and funny character.

 

Amen with Groovy and Frodo, but the damn guy has really endeared himself to me. Who's his wife and kid again???

Kell rocks-although my absolute favorite is Face Loran.

 

Skylark-he married fellow Wraith Tyria Sarkin, and they had a son named Doran, which is Kell's real last name.

I highly recommend all the X-Wing books: for solid plotlines, and plenty of action romance and humour, no one tops Stackpole and Allston, and I've read a *lot* of SW fiction.

Kell and Tyria were so cute when they got together in Wraith, and it was a complete thrill to read him again, twenty years later in the Enemy Lines books. I really liked seeing him in action again. An experienced and capable and very very dangerous covert operative, he's a total inspiration for some of my Bothan characters!

Then again, I have a big, muscular pilot "thing"...

Actually, Face was the "kiss for luck" guy. He was dressed as a Vong, and asked Mara. She told him he was either extremely brave or incredibly stupid. He then asked Luke, who told him to get out of here.

Kell was "Explosions Boy". He was the one who kept asking Aunt Tahiri for his bedtime story.

Yes, Wes killed Kell's father. during the rebellion. In the Taanab Yellow Aces [Or something like that] Kell's father chickened out of a run and was fleeing... right into Imperial sensors. Either they all die and they fail the mission or they had to neutralize Kell's father. He shot him down.

So :_( sad.

Anyways, I'm the ultimate Wraith, as all from the Wraith Fanclub would eventually agree [The fact I'm a complete washout from my military school, which I never deserved to go to, honest!, and I'm mentally insnae helps].

Also I think Kell's the coolest Wraith... up until the third or fourth Wriath book Kell was the main Wraith!

This is one of the first times I've ventured into this forum. I just read "Wraith Squadron" and it is easily the best SW book I've read. Solid plotline and great characters, of which Kell Tainer is one of my favorites.

I'll definitely have to pick up some more Wraith books. Are there any more in the X-Wing series, or will I need to get NJO books to read more about them?

 

Oh, theres more. Alot more. Iron fist, Solocommand... what else?

Amen to that, Jedi_Frodo_Baggins. And Guinastasia, Kell was "Demolitions Boy" in the XW books. I wonder why they changed it in Enemy Lines?

 

When I first read the Wraith books, I was hoping that they weren't going to make Kell into another Coran, which I am glad that they didn't.

 

He never said I go boom, I say that.

 

Kell is the man......awesome character. I sometimes think that he is a reflection of me.

 

Some of you people have not read the Wraith books?! Next thing you know we will have people saying they have not read Starfighters of Adumar!

Ahh!! You almost gave me a heart attack when you said you haven't read SoA. I love that book!!!!!!!!
