It's been confirmed that Snoke is actually 6-7 feet tall.

There's a theory that he is Gallius Rax. I'm not so sure of that. Unless there's some "entity" somewhere else that is Snoke that inhabits him, I can't see it. We have seen some things that have to do with the Mortis folks (Father, Son and Daughter) which brings Mother into the picture and, therefore Abeloth. I sincerely hope they're not going that route though.

Ya...it would be very weird when he appeared as 30 feet tall.

Oh, to bad. :( I hade hopped he would be revelled to be a giant (he did not need to be as large as his hologram) or Yoda sized.

It would have been interesting if he was Yoda sized because they could then go for an Oz approach.

I liked this and unliked it because I want an eldritch horror buried on Jakku to possess Rax's body and be Snoke :p

I hear ya, Sinrebirth. I just think it would create a great amount of confusion. "How does this have to do with the Skywalkers?" "What does this have to do with the new Jedi order?" If this was a new standalone film, I can see Abeloth being a new foe. I don't see how this adds to the existing Saga.

Please, call me Sinre. Here's the super theory time.

He was buried on Jakku a millennium ago and relevant to the time when Bane destroyed the Sith, known as the Consecrated Eremite, who walked Jakku when it was fertile millennia ago.

Maz Kanata will know of him and Yoda maybe did too. Pass as to that latter point.

I reckon we will get a retcon that resurrecting Snoke was the true goal of the Sith Order.

    Special mentions to Darth_wanderguard.

I feel like they were WAY too secretive about some of the characters. Personally, I feel like ANH gave more of a background to people even though it was the "beginning" of the saga.
I'm glad his height has been confirmed. It should be interesting what Kylo's reaction will be to him if we see it.
I would assume that they set up his hologram like that to make him seem more powerful and threatening.

Wow, I wonder if Tatooine ever was...

Now that I think of it, in TFA there are some random patches of grass/reeds in the sand on Jakku. [face_idea]

As you see, in the canon area of the Wookieepedia...

It was a green world circa 26,000 years before the films - the Rakata burned it off.

Snoke was conceptually once a Female.. Maybe they plan on reviving Abeloth as a Male character...

Was Abeloth (as a character) created before, during or after the Clone Wars tv series? Just out of interest.

Abeloth first appeared in 2009. Mortis first aired in 2011.

Speaking of Tatooine, Legends lore as far back as 2001 said that Jawas and Sandpeople have a common ancestor, but the classic ANH novelization implies that the Jawas are descended from human settlers and Wookieepedia says that in KOTOR, the Jawas speak of themselves as if they aren't native to Tatooine.

Just on the 'Snoke being Abeloth' theory, if she was created during/after TCW which is canon then it's less far-fetched of an idea.

Less far fetched.. but nonetheless. Who knows what they're going to do. The most logical would be that it's Sidious, or Plagueis but that has already been debunked.

It's fitting that the Chosen One would hail from a land destroyed by the earliest dark side users.

    Officially debunked?

I would be so happy if it was Plagueis! [face_praying]

That would be interesting. It makes you wonder how long ago the canon Hundred-Year Darkness occured.
