I can't wait to learn more about the deleted scenes stuff, and I'm sure all the tie-in's, and maybe some explanations for weaker parts of the script (the chase, the hyperspace ram).

 

I'm not reading this book. Though Fry is a very talented author and their might be some interesting tidbits.

 

Pathetic. I'm gonna read it and then start smacking people for their ridiculous (and stupid) hatred of such a great film.

 

I’m hoping to read about the training between Luke and Rey and some extra exposition on the first Jedi temple and those books

Poor Jason. I can appreciate the ah, "difficulties" that may come when writing a novelization given some of the reaction to TLJ so far.

 

Reaction? You mean just passing the $1B mark in ticket sales and being one of the best, most innovative, and daring Star Wars films ever?

Plus I'm pretty sure Jason finished writing the book before the movie came out.

 

I'd say it's far more than that Nick, that's a small part of it but there's a whole lot more to this.

I'd go as far to say that none of us will probably see such a divisive blockbuster film come along again, that there are certain, unique factors that make it so.

I don't think those factors are a mystery, we both could list them with ease and also see how and why people view them as negative or positive.

I'm quite certain that in time the firestorms will die out, if only because it's a lot of effort to keep them going.

But if we wanted to speed that process up? Well, you already laid it out:

 

Yes I agree people being civil is important. I loathed the movie but might check out the book to try and understand what others enjoyed. I am quite jealous of the fans that did enjoy it.

After second viewing and reading a lot of stuff/theories, I’m very interested in reading this book, looking for expanding/explaining things that maybe weren’t so implicit in the movie.

I’m sure that they delayed this because they wanted to avoid the main spoilers of the movie, you know the third act and certain someone on Ach-to, after all nothing of these is mentioned in the Art of TLJ book or the VD so it’s not surprise, maybe the surprise was that they choose March instead of late January/Feb.

 

Maybe this novelization has more Snoke info AND THATS WHY IT WAS PUSHED BACK TO MARCH!!!!

 

More likely - the BR/DVD comes out in March.
