Comics The Last Jedi: DJ (One-Shot)

I think a comic on DJ is a good idea, since his appearance in TLJ was so rushed, and he barely spoke and when he did, it was hard to understand him.

It'll be interesting how they translate Del Toro's very idiosyncratic delivery (Fenster! In space!) to speech balloons.

 

Okay, I'll wait for a comic that tells the story of: Captain Maoi Madakor, Lieutenant Antidar Williams, Captain Daultay Dofine, Tey How, the battle droids, Theomet Danle, Corde, Dorme, Sly Moore, Pampy and Supi, Senator of the ET species (Grebleips), General Grievous' bridge crew, every clone, every senator, "Hobbie" and Janson, the Tuanul villagers, Hux's bridge crew, every New Republic senator, every Rebel pilot, every minor character that appears and speaks for a few scenes...

 

For the record, I'd buy a Senator Greblieps comic in a heartbeat. I'd also pony up for a series about my man Bob Hudsol (and I'll happily pay double cover price if it's actually titled "My Man Bob Hudsol").

Really eager to read this. I find the character fascinating because he’s weird and clever. This genius just sleeping in the dark, on his own and full of secrets.

 

I love how he just genuinely doesn't care about most things. It's not like he's entirely heartless, just sort of "meh" about everything that's important to everyone else. Whenever the movie comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray, someone's gotta screencap his "Maybe" shrug. We need something to replace that Big Lebowski "your opinion" meme.

 

What's frustrating is it's the moment immediately after this but this is the only picture online.



He literally gives this look, then shrugs and says "Maybe."

 

Your sarcasm is duly noted. DJ is an interesting character, who plays a major role in TLJ and deserves a little expansion. That's what the EU is for

 

Already love it.

 

I'm more confused as to why this isn't just called Star Wars: Don't Join

Is Kedpin Shoklop supposed to be that big? I imagined him as like 3 feet tall. He looks huge and buff! Is that Big Sturg Ganna next to him?

 

Why? I can't think of anything I want to know less.

EDITED TO ADD: Yes I can, never mind, do not provide potential examples.

 

Not sure how I feel about his stutter being included in his written dialogue.

 

Well finishing the Canto Bight book has made me more interested in seeing where this goes

 

At least the art is good. We'll see for the story.
