The Last Ship premiered tonight. Did anyone watch it? Was she in it? Did Adam Baldwin drop any Firefly references?

I watched. It had the number of explosions required for me to be intrigued.*

*No, really. It had typical pilot problems but I will watch next week.

Considering the 100,000 ads that were blitzed on TNT during the NBA playoffs, I feel that I've already seen it.

In all seriousness, I do have the premiere on my DVR, and will get to it sometime tonight or tomorrow.

It sounds like a prime candidate for drinking games.

I just thought I'd respond in small font type like everyone else here, I have nothing to add.

The show has Michael Bay's name posted all over it so I skipped it

I like the part where Eric Dane is immune to electricity

90s action films were the best action films

Despite some mechanical acting (I'm looking at you, Captain Chandler), and plot contrivances/cliches, I was still entertained; it's a sleekly made production.

I see Rhona "Lara Croft" Mitra in there...

One last thought concerning the premiere: the preview for next week's installment gave away too much info.

Is this the show solojones worked on? Should I then delete it from my DVR immediately and stick with Devious Maids?

To anyone who has seen this show: Is the fact that they will need to do a replenishment at sea for fuel about every 6-8 days the entire focus of the show? 'Cause that's all I could think about when I saw the previews.

Okay..... so, the Navy guy just called bull**** on the thing.... I'm officially probably not going to watch. :p

This is explicitly part of the plot :p Would it really be that interesting if you were on a Nuclear-powered vessel that didn't ever have to make landfall? Believe me there were numerous Navy folks helping with things like how long you could go on cruise ship diesel, diesel marine fuel, or JP5.

I'll give them props. The MIO stuff I saw in the preview was pretty spot on. I'll have to watch it online, though.

Depends on if you like 90s action movies, Navy stuff, and things like Outbreak, The Hot Zone, etc. For me these are all things I grew up with and which I find fun. The advertising makes it clear it's a summer blockbuster of a show.

Bah what do submariners know! We have SWOs on staff! :p

I cancelled my satellite service when Breaking Bad ended, so I don't have TNT. Is it available on Hulu? I'll check it out, if so.

Pirate it. That's what people advocate here on the forums, right? And it's not like it's hurting anyone...

    Will watch later on, then.

Congrats, by the way.... pretty amazing to get a gig on a show so soon after graduating.
