The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

No, this has nothing to do with Roysten Vasey. But rather a film that until 10 minutes ago, rather suprisingly, i had never even heard of.

You not heard about it Yoshi? With all the trouble there has been with filming, like the floods in Prague(filming location) and the difficulties with director and actor its probably going to be poo

It's Sean Connery though, it's GOING to be good.

 

sorry to rain on your parade yosh,but this IS gonna be one steaming pile of.
you see,the problem is that they've taken the source material(a work of unrivalled genius),strained out all the cleverness that made it such a good read and made a very poor sean connery vehicle.
and look at the films he's set the screen alight with in recent years.
(it's been a long time since 'the man who would be king'.)
ironically,if they had cast micheal caine in the role played by jason flemyng,maybe you'd have had that 'curiosity value'...
as for the film itself,why they felt the need to play down mina harkers role as team leader to make way for 'big sean' is beyond me...
that same goes for the idea of introducing the character of tom sawyer to the team.
why?
to satisfy american audiences?

and did i read that they've cast the blonde haired twenty-thirty something thomas jane to play the black haired forty-fifty something frank castle?
and wasn't he a former marine NOT an fbi agent,as they've decided he is in the film???
