Anybody else watching this show? It's on HBO, directed by the dudes that did lost or something. Two episodes in, I'm really intrigued by it. Parts of it are stupid or transparent, but overall I'm fairly interested to see what happens to a couple of the characters. I'm interested if Wayne is anything other than a creepo cult perve, and i'm curious to see what comes of the GR. i can't figure out what the draw is for new people -- i hope this gets fleshed out. what do you guys think about it.
It's an interesting concept for a show, and they are playing things out in a seemingly steady pace. Most of me likes the fact that they are not going to reveal what the cause of the disappearances are, but there's a part that would like an answer.
I'm probably the only person still watching this, but damn, way to punch viewers in the gut (in a good way). While some characters have started to grate on you, there is no way that this kind of episode could have been done any sooner, and does feel almost cathartic in some ways. Now on to waiting for the season finale and seeing exactly what the GR's plan is, and what impact it is going to have.
I'm not hating but how do you guys manage to watch ALL the TV shows, do you have some magical organization skills? Just curious. It seems like everyone here watches everything, and I can't keep up. I can't *sob*
Yeah I thought last week's episode was far and away the best. It hit me on a level that none of the others have so far.
If you can set aside 1 hour and a half a night, you can watch 2 episodes of a show. Maybe more if you have the time. That adds up to at least fourteen episodes of television a week.
I can't speak for everyone else, but there are two components to it for me. First is that not living in the US, I have to obtain these shows through other means if I want to not wait days, weeks, months, or years for them to be shown over here. It means I can rack up a lot of shows to watch anywhere at any time since I can use all of my digital devices (I play catch-up on shows I don't keep current with on international flights and trips away from home where I'm stuck in hotels). The second is that I have multi-tasked all my life. I'm usually doing something else while watching the shows of an evening (like updating playbooks tonight). For some shows, I do focus purely on the show itself (GoT, Falling Skies, Teen Wolf, Arrow, Shameless) but those are the rareity. I also work from home, so I get the luxury of being able to multi-task throughout the course of the day which helps get me back on track when I have been away for days/weeks at a time without being able to download anything.
I already do that and it's clearly not enough. We are currently watching Cosmos and planning to catch up with AHS: Coven before the new season starts in October.
Some days I just sit in bed and never leave the apt....that's how (sadly not often enough). Also I watch while I work sometimes.
"you've havent seen the sopranos but you're watching 'the leftovers'?! ****. OFF!" ^not directed at anyone itt, just something i heard a few weeks ago and now its the only thing i can think of whenever i see this show mentioned anywhere. for the record, i havent watched either show^
anyone watching season 2 ? I like this show but it's very similar to Lost , and in the same ways good and bad . sometimes the twists/ mysteries are intriguing , but they also pile up and get forgotten along the way , it's hard to know what you're supposed to pay attention to . .
I've seen the first season but haven't had time to get into season 2. It's received great critical reviews and I am DVRing it. I just need time to catch up. Season 1 was the best show on television last year, imo.
Sundays episode was great. Interested in seeing how they handle the cliff hanger ending. Season 2 has been top notch so far.
