So far, details are sketchy. All we know is it is set approximately 100 years after TLA

Though we are expected to get more details at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Info is near the bottom of the page and the sources are the last four under References.

Jello edit: Official spoiler policy -- all spoilers must be marked with a spoiler tag until after the relevant episode airs on the U.S. east coast (which is the earliest episode airing).

Interesting. I'm going to guess that Korra is the next avatra in the line. The water bending one. It sounds like a water bending name

I agree, that seems to be most likely.

I'm trying to figure out which of Nickelodeon's 3 panels is most likely to be where they'll announce some stuff.

Yeah, that makes sense, since TLA's subtitle was "The Legend of Aang". And Korra does sound Water Tribe-ish.

Korra sounds like a female name, too.

It does sound female, yes. And it would be fun if she was related to Katara or Sokka... :D A granddaughter of either of them, perhaps...

    ...

Yeah, I'm already speculating too much... :p

It could mimick aang's story too much. There dosen't have to be a war but there was to be some new conflict 100 years into the future.

I dunno if the protagonist will be female, because I heard Nickelodeon turned down a previous concept for a action-adventure series with a teenage girl in the lead, because of things like "Boys won't watch it", and stuff like that.

I thought it'd be neat if they did a show about an Avatar following up the reign of terror perpetrated by a previous evil Avatar. Kid turns 16, finds out he's the reincarnation of the ass everyone had been talking about all his life, has to spend his time redeeming the Avatar, and then repeatedly has to talk with the spirit of the previous evil avatar, who would of course be trying to corrupt him. Probably a little high concept for Nickelodeon.

That's a pretty interesting concept, IJG. But that would mean it would have to be at least the next+1 Avatar after Aang, not the immediately following one, because Aang is obviously not evil. :p But yeah, that could really make things interesting.

Eeerrr, Aang overthrew the Fire Nation, of course he's evil. Have you even been watching the series? :p

    :( That's mean!

Clearly you're unable to confront the truth of what I've stated and have to resort to name-calling. :p

That's not name-calling, that's just stating the obvious fact. Deal with it. :p

Or it could be one of the many avatars before Aang.

Considering that this possibility was heavily hinted at during the series finale, and "eviltar" isn't entirely out of the question.

    Also: Wikipedia? Really?

It's sourced. I didn't want to post all four other links, so I just posted the Wikipedia link.

Technically, Ozai became the phoenix king before Aang fought him. He was no longer the head of the Fire Nation, he declared himself ruler of the world. Azula was going to be Fire Lady, so it was Zuko who overthrew the Fire Nation, not Aang.

    :p
