There was a point in the third movie, when White Orc is floating underneath the ice, and idiots think he's dead but many other people who are intelligent know he's not.

At this point, he somehow summons the energy to burst through the ice, and land to stand on solid ice and attack Thorin.

At this point in the movie, both times I have seen it, I have gotten an unexpected rush of adrenaline, and I think it may be because my eyes have seen something that my brain refuses to believe can be true. My eyes and brain are in strict disagreement, and I think my body is shouting DANGER at me, meaning I should get out of that theater ASAP

I will watch all of these movies once more, to see the Extended Editions, and then I'm done. I don't intend to revisit these movies ever again.

Yes, and then at the end he asks you to do the same thing over an entire weekend, with much worse pacing.

Dammit. I didn't want to go here. But I must.

Do you think The One Ring adjusts for size no matter where you put it?

    Thank you.

Ender Sai, I would pay good money on Kickstarter for you to do a project where you live blog the Hobbit EEs.

The problem is, he'd have to watch them. Might be a deal breaker.

Plinkett's reviews of the star wars PT are watchable, maybe borrow that kind of format.

Not sure I could sit through the whole films, no matter how good the commentary.

Do you think Gollum would have bit it off if Frodo had worn it THERE in Mount Doom?

The only problem with that is that he would stereotype some group.

The guy's best argument against the Anakin/Padme romance is "women don't act like that."

LOL wut? All women act the same?

If he had said that Padme acting the way she did, reflected badly on her character, it would make sense. But his use of stereotypes about "what women want" shuts down any capacity I have to take him seriously as a commentator.

Even if I do agree with him that Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan should have been combined in one character named Obi-Wan.

I see what he means, though. GL can't write real people, much less two people falling in love. Neither Portman nor Christiansen can act for **** so the whole thing comes off as awkward, forced and totally unbelievable. No two people interact like that.

He tried to write a "courtly love" story, and I don't think either Portman or Christensen were comfortable with it and I do think they sounded ridiculous. (As I have said in the movie forums a few times, I can overlook it because I'm sure I sounded really stupid when I was that young and in love, although I can be sure I never used any words about a kiss becoming a scar.)

It was bad, but I have issues with any man pretending he knows what "all women" want, especially Stoklasa's "all women want an aggressive man" or whatever the hell he said. That line of thinking is dangerous.

He didn't seem to hate the Hobbit movies in the last Half in the Bag review. He just didn't care about them very much. I doubt he'd devote a 43-hour Plinkett review to them.

I don't consider either trilogy as ****. I'm not the biggest fan of the theatrical versions of The Hobbit films, but I thoroughly enjoyed the extended editions of the first two films. I hope to feel the same way about the third film. At the moment, I like both trilogies.
