Welcome to the Light Side! I am Obi-HaCoR, just one of the Masters of this order. To celebrate our fresh new beginning, we have decided to open this brand new thread. Things change in time, let's take this new oppertunity to enjoy every minute of it, not just by ourselves, but together as a family. May The Force Be With You!

The first few posts will have all the important information - our Mission Statement, information on how you can apply and what happens after you do, the Operational Code, and the current Membership List.

[u] [b]I want to join! What do I do? [/b] [/u]

*You must have 150 posts or more to apply to the Lightside. Do not flame, troll, or spam to get these posts.

*To apply, post one (choose one) of the following in any of the Lightside threads (note: copy and paste works wonders here):

You also need to PM a current Master (a member will direct you to an active Master once you post your application) to let them know why you?d like to join.

*After you have applied, a Master will do a background check on you. This is a simple check to make sure you are not breaking any of the JC rules, that you are not a troll, flamer, etc., that you contribute readily to threads, not just posting short, few word responses, and various other things that most users should have no problem with. It will also include a little correspondence between the Master and the person being checked, for various purposes. The check should take about a week at most.

*Once your background check is complete, you will receive notification via private message, and, granted that you are accepted, an announcement will be posted in all the Lightside Temples here at the JC.

*If you have any questions, send a private message to a current Master (or Knight) and they will be able to help you out.

[b][u]Operational Code[/u][/b]

~1. ALL active members must indicate their membership AND rank in their signatures.

~2. There shall be a Council of nine Jedi Masters, although there may be more Jedi Masters who are not on the Council.

~3. All new members who join shall be Younglings. DO NOT come in and demand to be immediately made a Knight. Younglings must complete 3 missions before being promoted to Padawan. Padawans shall become Knights upon graduation from the Academy AND completing training with their master, AND passing the Trials. A Jedi Knight or Master can have only one Padawan learner at a time. A Padawan?s master will decide when he/she is ready to face the Trials. Padawans must complete at least five (5) Missions at the Academy before they are eligible for training with a Knight/Master. The Council shall decide when a Padawan has earned Knighthood, based on the requirements above.

~4. Jedi Knights shall become Jedi Masters upon the nomination of the Council of Nine, and the subsequent vote/confirmation by the Order at large, not to last more than twelve hours. Jedi Masters may not be members of other groups, unless government or defence, and these are subject to review by the current Jedi Masters.

~5. All Jedi Knights shall be assigned a forum or two to patrol.

~6. All beings are welcome to enter the temple, so long as they come with no harmful or aggressive intent.

~7. If internal dissension

Things are good here. I need to take some time and meditate on the padawans though. I might be ready for one soon.

 

I hate to break up all the good news here but the little rule thing says the background check should take a week at max. I've waited almost a month. Whats up?

Yoda : Look carefully, right now we only have two padawans up for training with a Knight/Master.

Send them a PM and see what responses you get back! Good luck! I'm sure with either one of them you'll both make a great team together

From the membership list, we have a couple that may be joining the ranks for being able to get a Knight/Master soon

RJ : I'de advise that you send a PM to either JediFalcon or Lady_Jedi26 about if you completed mission 7... they are the Jedi Masters which are in charge of the Jedi Trainign Academy and overlook all the mission reports that have been sent there. The place has been changed a round a little bit, so just talk it out with them. I'm sure they know.

Sam : Well, I know one of our Masters that does the background checks, has been quite busy with RL and college. I will get your background check...checked up on and done as quickly as we can. For the future....

The Masters that are doing background checks from now on will be Malz4Jesus , Obi-HaCoR (myself), and Angel5000 ...........and JediFalcon will be used only as our backup when we need it. So send the new initiates to the first three Masters I named, unless told otherwise.
