The Lightsaber Effects Thread

Phew, finally after 6 long damned hours of working on this, I'm done. I used the greenscreen footage that was posted above... along with Pixelmagic's volcano mountain thing, and the lava supplied above.

EDIT: Just rewatched it and noticed that at some points, Anakin's saber is quite... not over the prop lol. Oh well

 

I thought it was pretty good. I was wondering if you could send me the saber matte? What way did you greenscreen it?

 

Combination of Color Key, Spill Suppressor, and Inner Outer Key.

And as for the saber matte, sure give me one sec.

EDIT: Ok.. yousendit is working now... Here's the matte.

moonz74, I guess you ripped this Mace Windu-picture from the Episode III bonus disc? Funny enough, I bought the DVD yesterday and tried my best on this very same picture late in the night.

CloudofSulfur, unless you start working with TRANSFERMODES, your lightsabers won't look good... doesn't GIMP have transfermodes? I can't believe this.
