The Academy Awards being broadcast on a Monday night... there was something neat & cool about having a huge event like that on weeknight. Now it's been on Sunday's for the past 14 years, like so many events are. Boring.
Local TV stations not showing cartoons on weekday afternoons anymore. Thanks to federal regulations mandating three hours a week minimum for educational children's programming, the fact that it's not as profitable anymore as stuff like judge shows and sitcom reruns, and 24/7 children's network's like Nick, CN, Disney, and The Hub picking up the slack, you just see why they don't anymore. It just seems wrong for stuff like How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory to air in the same timeslots on the same station that 20-30 years before, aired Disney Afternoon/Fox Kids programs (like how it was with my local Fox station). But I guess with all kids got going for them nowadays, it probably doesn't matter too much, I guess, but it just seems so nice, especially for families who can't afford cable/satellite.
Giving female coworkers a congratulatory slap on the ass. EDIT: I had second thoughts about this joke, but now it's too late.
Playtime. Srsly. Used to spend lunchbreaks running around, wrestling, playing British Bulldogs, swinging on monkey bars and generally doing awesome ****. These days if I do pull ups on the fire escape or bend a few nails in my lunchbreak I get told to stop because of 'elf & safety.
I miss the student nurse at school....she used to give the best hernia checks ever before football and baseball season.
90% of the shows on Disney Channel and Cartoon Network when I was little(read: late 90's to.mid 00's). Having the weekend free. Not having to worry about paying for things because Mom and Dad would take care of it. Crud. I best shut up before I divulge my life story to you all. Sent from my stupid little astro droid using TapaTalk 2.
