Not much, just been stuck at work all day. I just had dinner with my parents. What's up with you?

Well, my brother-in-law was in town today because of a business meeting, so my hubby and I took him to go see AOTC (he hadn't seen it yet). Dare I say it? I would have preferred to see Signs for a third time... ;)

    You don't dare!

    ;) :p

Hadn't seen it yet? That's amazing. I would love to see it again, but it's been gone from our theater for like a month and a half.

Well, I've now seen AOTC six times, and I'll definitely wait a few more months before seeing it again (I don't want to become saturated). I am surprised our theatre is still carrying it...
My brother-in-law is extremely busy: he works insane hours, and has two toddlers, so he and his wife hardly ever get to see any movies.

Ah, poor guy. He's lucky your theater was still carrying it. :)

I saw it 5 times while it was here, and actually it's probably a good thing it left when it did, otherwise I might very well be sick of it now.

As it is, I can't wait for the DVD! :D

    He's definitely needs to de-stress a bit.

I must say, some scenes during this viewing really started grating on me... mostly the romantic ones with Ani and Padmé. I certainly can't wait for the DVD, though. I'm particularly looking forward to the extra features.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The last time I saw it, during the fireplace scene, and the one right before they enter the arena I kept thinking that the dialogue should be overdubbed in Spanish, it felt so much like a Mexican soap opera. The picnic scene didn't bother quite as much, although the shakk surfing part looks totally ridiculous.

But yeah, the DVD with all the features should be sweet. I kind of hope they handle the commentary different than they did with TPM though. I would like it if Lucas had his own seperate commentary track, and then another one for the crew. I really liked the commentary on TPM, but I didn't like the way it kept cutting between people.

I really hope the AOTC DVD has a behind the scenes documentary as good as the TPM one.

    Yeah. :)

My brother-in-law said that he loves Lucas' ability as a visual and special effects visionary, but thinks he is horrible with the human element of the story, and should hire a separate writer and director for that aspect of the films alone. It was funny hearing him groaning during so much of the dialogue... it's interesting to see the film through the eyes of someone who isn't a die-hard fan of the series.

Well, I'd love to stay and chat boys, but it's getting late, and I've got work early in the morning. *sigh* This weekend went too quickly. Seeya tomorrow!

Yes... yes, another thrilling summer day, eh?

I'll probably end up doing the same but it kind of depends on what our Day Task is. I have to work again tomorrow which is weird for me on a Monday, but I get Tues. through Thurs. off :D

I forgot about the DT. I'll probably spend the day doing that.
