Hmmmm. Well, the runes that I use are the Anglo-Saxon runes, which are what Tolkien based his languages of Angerthas Dwarvish on. The writing you see from the book at Balin's tomb is Angerthas, merely inversions, variations, and improvisations of the original Anglo-Saxon runes.

 

I speak Quenya and a bit of Sindarian, does that count?

Well, I can't speak Elvish. And you can't write runes. So I guess we're even.

Can you write in Elvish? I found it too inconsistent with the book I had and all of the vowel forms.

Well, yeah. But I meant in the Elvish form. Such as the style that you would find on the One Ring, although I believe that was the Black Speech, but they're similar styles.
