Fanfilms are my thing. That's animation you're talking of. Mainly.

We'd also have to worry about building the -miniature- sets, and get a camera with variable shutter speed to properly shoot those miniatures.

Effects can be taken care of pretty easily. I for one can handle the traditionnal lightsabers and blasters. Can any of you guys do 3D or should I email some friends of mine ? :)

The main problem would be animation. To me it looks like the thumb movies were actually real human heads painted blue, filmed, and then bluescreened onto the thumbs... Which, come to think of it, isn't animation if done this way, and might be easier than I first thought.

Actually that might work. Gotta write a script first, though. ;)

Well as far as sets are involved, I got a Star Wars Cantina play set, that could help

I'll see if the Legends guys have anymore

and fr the costumes and all, I know it's crazy, but we shouldn't have too much problems.. I got rags, I'll gladly use the Biggar in me to make some and if need be paint them :)

Costumes should not be a problem indeed, but I've seen your cantina and I think it would be too small for thumbs. Besides, the smaller the miniature, the faster the shutter rate.

Can't you guys come up with a better idea, why not just make Scary Movie 3? Wait it's already in production [face_plain] Spoofs are fine until they are over done, this one is, Fan Film are in general are over done. Original ideas, you have them I'm sure ! ! ! ! !

It's not overdone. No one watches fanfilms apart from fans, and in fanfilms no one has attempted a thumb movie yet. If we do make it, we get lots -and I mean LOTS- of viewers. Because it's a fanfilm, but most of all because it's not only a Star Wars fanfilm but a Thumb Wars fanfilm.

Besides, the personnal challenge is interesting. :)
