I would rather see Kyle Katarn sneak in as the Alliance Protagonist... Since we know that inevitably there will be a Rebellion presence within the novels, I think the Big 3 are over used, so maybe like a Kyle Katarn working on the Ground with Jan Ors whilst Rogue Squadron (to include Luke I guess) helps from above...
What is "maestro" in this case anyway? Is it a SW planet or something, or is it the actual word maestro, meaning composer of music? I suppose that could fit in with Thrawn, though I don't know if he's much of a music buff... bet he likes classical.
All signs point to no!
I don't have any problem with him writing in the OT era -- after all, the OT era and the early NR era are my favorites -- but I do have a problem with him writing Vader again.
I do too.
Zahn writing more Thrawn, Mara and Chiss? You can count me out.
More Zahn? I'll take it. I would like to see more Winter though.
If I never read about Thrawn again, it will be too soon. I barely got through Outbound Flight, and I only made it through TTT because of the scenes with Han and Leia.
I'll pass on this one.
Don't mind Hav, guys - he's very old.
Well he does like fine art. I could see him being the Maestro of War.. I could see him coordinating battles to music/like a master musician directing an orchestra
For what it's worth, in Thrawn's introduction in TTT, I definitely hear some music going on in the description of his art gallery.
I bet he'd dig John Cage. Then again, he might not like avant-garde in general, since it pretty much kills that whole "you can understand a species by their art" idea
Now I want to see some avant-garde wookiee art.
You are thinking of the Mom, Wynssa, whereas I'm talking about the daughter, Wynessa.
Also, Han/Bria = OTP.
Younger than you, Gramps.
Wynssa Fel is the daughter of Soontir Fel and Syal Antilles.
I'm not aware of any "Wynessa".
If you're the daughter of an Antilles, you're an Antilles.
Wynssa Starflare was Syal Antilles stage name while performing before she got married to Baron Fel I believe
I actually don't have a problem with Zahn writing Thrawn so long as it's the villain Thrawn we got from TTT and not the Saint Thrawn from OBF.
Thought so. I was going off memory of the New Essential Guide to Characters from 2002. Haven't read it in a while. A long while.
I think it would be somewhere in between. Palpatine's favorite son, if you will. I imagine Seth MacFarlane's Palpatine being like "Oh, Thrawn, if I could take your mind and put it in Vader's body with his power... Well Before he got all burnt and breathy"
I'm going to try to pretend I didn't see that.
I don't want Thrawn the Super-Brilliant who either dazzles all the other characters with his brilliance or scares the hell out of them with it, in any capacity.
I don't know what OTP stands for, so I'm good
