I believe I read somewhere that MWS said he has many ideas for future Overworld stories, not all of them involving Caine. I would LOVE to see many more, but for now I'll settle for Caine Black Knife. ;)

    Sweet! More books with Caine.
Glad I came over to this section. Caine is easily one of my favorite fictional characters.

When he mentioned somewhere that the thought of a book with Raithe as the main character crossed his mind, I almost cried. :D Raithe is awesome.

And it stinks that he might have to put Caine Black Knife on the back-burner while he works on the Episode III novel --- but I can't wait for that either. So it'll all work out in the end. Hehe~

Ah yes, the Episode III novel... This might have to be the one time I read the book before I see the movie.

I'm always temtped to read the novel of one of the movies before it comes out,but I never end up doing it,because I wouldn't want to know that many details ahead of time.I'll definatly read it after I see the movie though. :D

    same here.

I fear that if I read the novel first I'll expect too much, so I usually read the book after I see the movie so as to enhance the experience rather than detract from it. I'll do that again this time, I'll just be that much more eager to read the novelization.

Stover is one of my favourite authors. I need to find time to read Shatterpoint, but I cannot wait until the Episode III novel comes out! That definately will be excellent.

Sometimes I will read a book before the movie, but not with Star Wars! That's just wrong. :p I'll probably buy the novelization just to have it, but I may not read it until I've watched the film several times.

I read TPM before I saw the movie... and it ruined the experience for me.

Coming into AOTC with little but the trailer knowledge was a far more enjoyable experience.

So, I'm going to save the novelization until AFTER I see the movie.

I wonder what type of twists he'll be able to put in the Episode 3 novel? Guess it fits him too, since we keep heaing this should be the darkest of the movies.
Thats what's great about Stover's books...his characters go through Hell and back a few times. I couldn't believe everything Mace went through during Shatterpoint.

Also "Shades of Gray" was another title they thought about calling it. :)

It's all a matter of personal preference. I adore Stackpole/Allston, but I still prefer Stover.

Although that could be because I've read Stover's non-SW books and not the others' non-SW books. In fact, I prefer Stover's Heroes Die and BoT over Stover's SW books (and over any and all other SW books, for that matter).

Stackpole has some great Non-SW stuff too. I'm gonna read some Denning and Salvatore non-SW books later. But again, Stover's Caine books are amazing

This is a great idea for a fan club! I haven't read either of his Star Wars books yet (not up to Traitor and need to buy Shatterpoint), but I just got Tyshalle's Blade in from the library, and am really enjoying it so far.

Matthew Stover's an excellent writer. I love his books, so far.

    Cool link, TK.

Mr. Stover is one of the most, if not THE most engaging writer I've ever read. I've wanted to be a writer for a long time -- if I can be HALF as good as him, I'll be doing good.
