Well, I did a little internet research on The Culture.
I have not heard or read a bad thing about them.
I'm gonna check out some used book stores first. This sounds like a great bit of reading.

 

Just thought I'd post a link to Dead Cities Online, the new home of SFF's Agent Provocateur Gabe Chouinard's rants, raves, and reviews. Gabe is an all-around smart guy and pain in the ass, and what he writes tends to be well worth reading.

He also writes sfsite's Dislocated Fiction columns, and has written reviews for all kinds of mags and websites.

Also, I'd like to heartily second Gabe's high recommendation of Jim Munroe's Angry Young Spaceman. A kickass book.

 

Finding the Culture books is gonna be harder than I thought.
I was hoping to avoid Amazon and ordering from new book stores just to be cheap and find them out of print in used book stores.

There is one very large one in down town Detroit, if they are not there I'll break down and order them.

In a Barnes&Noble I did get Excession but I don't want to read it untill I have the others.
