All the players in my group know all the rules by heart (after playing the game for so long "D6 system btw")

    except one...
Could anyone tell me the textbook explanation for the "hide" and "sneak" Perception skills...

i personally beleive that the sneak roll is for hiding yourself from sight by any means you can think of... and the hide roll is used to hide other things from sight (as for instance a smuggler would use to hide his stash...)
While other say that sneaking is when youre moving and hiding is when youre "hiding" yourself or other things...

I know it's in the basic second edition rulebook but whe lost that book due to a rather weird combination of to much beer... A barbecue... and some higly flammable lighter fluid...

could anyone help us out please?
    thankx

Hide is for hiding objects, and Sneak is for hiding yourself.

    This is the textbook meaning.
And this is the case in most RPGs where both skills exist.
