Nichols Removes Portman's Nude Scenes
Actress Natalie Portman ordered director Mike Nichols to remove her full frontal nude scenes from her latest movie Closer - despite playing a stripper in the film. Nichols is very protective of the 23-year-old beauty and agreed the topless footage was acceptable, but decided raunchy shots of her fully nude were gratuitous and should be deleted from the drama. Portman explains, "He wants to see my bare ass much less than (even) my father would. He's as or more protective of me than my parents are. So doing sexual, physical stuff for him felt very uncomfortable."

I'm sure what falls on the cutting room floor will be on fanboy's hard drives faster than this film will be on DVD.

I have to agree with that. Jude Law is so fine. I just saw Alfie because of him. It's a funny movie, but the best part is Jude Law. And I just wish I could have been one of his girls.

Well, you're half right. She doesn't have the enhanced boobies, but she is the tiny waisted part. Don't get me wrong, I like her that way. A sandwich wouldn't hurt, but she can stay skinny and I will still enjoy the scenery.

I dunno... The whole gist of Closer... From the previews I've seen, something just doesn't seem right. Jude Law seems to be in love with both Julia Roberts, who played a seemingly virginal hooker in Pretty Woman. Then he also seems to be in love with Natalie Portman, who's playing a seemingly virginal stripper who doesn't take her clothes off. It seems like it's going to be like trying to pass off Ivory Soap as mud.

Anyone seen the compilation of Natalie scenes from Closer?

There's no topless shots, much less full nude ones, but (perhaps because of that) it's a red hot scene (and with a good tune too).
