I quite liked the idea of having this hunk of junk as one of the main ships of Star Wars. You'd naturally expect something flashy and new to be that fast. I like the Originality.

The Millenium Falcon is the most powerful ship with the best pilots!! The Millenium Falcon is the main hero of the Star Wars Movies. It Rules.

The Falcon takes out three or four Star Destroyers out at one time in the Empire Strikes Back by dodging into an Asteroid Field

Just to correct some comments in your opening posts, here is a brief history of the Millennium Falcon:

Constructed around 60 years before ANH, The Millennium Falcon began life as a CEC YT-1300 light freighter, designed to haul small loads of cargo, and up to 2 crew and 6 passengers around the galaxy. Fortunately (or unfortuantely, depending on how you look at it), the ship fell into the hands of smuggler captains. The ship eventually found its way into the hands of Lando Calrissian, a young gambler, who won the ship in a game a sabacc. He hired a pilot to fly him to Nar Shaddaa, the smuggler's moon, and met up with Han Solo, who he asked to teach him how to ply the ship. The first time Han saw the ship, he fell in love, and he vowed that nothing would stop him getting it. A few years, in a massive sabacc tournament on the world of Bespin, Han, in the ebst game of sabacc he ever played, won the Millennium Falcon off Lando. He immediately added more upgrades to the ship, until it was making .5 past lightspeed and blasting any smuggler opposition apart.

The Falcon rocks.

I love the Falcon

I even named my car after it. It looks like a piece of junk, but...it's got it where it counts.

BTW, The Falcon did not shoot down Vader's TIE. The Falcon destroyed one of the TIE's that was escorting Vader. The other TIE pilot became distracted and bumped Vader's TIE, sending it out into space.

 

yeah,the falcon's great! I really like the part of ANH when Luke is training with the remote,and obi-wan feels "a great disturbence in the force"

 

The history of the Falcon is very interesting. If it was built 60 years before ep. 4 it should be in ep. 3!!!!

OBIX I like that part too there should be parts like that in all the episodes.

its true, mr t put it together towards the end of ep3 (queue a-team theme), han was quoted saying "i love it when a plan comes together" at mr t's handiwork which chewie just replied "rargh!".
