Though I wanted the Orioles to win last night/eventually win the series, I don't hate the Yankees, so Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul's homer heroics were rather interesting... also, it's still annoying to me to see the battery of Kuroda & Martin pitch/catch for New York. They should still both be Dodgers. And what's happened with Cincinnati? Can't win a home game? Meh.

No sweeps, four games today, this has been a surprisingly good postseason so far.

    Amazing.

Buster Posey hit a grand slam en route to the Giants 6-4 win over Cincinnati today, ensuring their spot in the NLCS/the Reds collapse (up 2-0 AND heading home, and yet lost the series. Pathetic.). What a joy it will be to watch a Giants NLCS game on my birthday. [face_plain]

Second year in a row at least three of the first round series are going the full 5 games and only the third time since the wild card that none of the first round series ended in a sweep.

    Amazing.

yeah, all four series going the distance after all the complaints about the division series format and how the team with homefield won't get to play all of their home games unless the series go five games. pretty amazing indeed.

It probably was a joke. Like the silent treatment sometimes I've seen given after someone hits a homerun. They don't acknowledge him or anything for fun.

Great day yesterday! I'm hoping for more Nationals magic and see them advance to the NLCS (and it would be nice to see the Braves avenged as well).

And then there was the O's and Yanks. I am an Orioles fan, but I don't think I like any team in the MLB than I just utterly despise the Yankees. Seeing them defeated at home is always priceless.

Rooting for a Nats-O's World Series, but for now I just want both to win their respective Game 5's!

An Oakland/Baltimore ALCS would have been way more fun than Detroit/whoever.

    Amazing.

It's the right move... Girardi could have Billy Crystal in the lineup, and he would be hitting better than A-Rod.

a-rod looked a little better at the plate last night. and granderson and swisher have been just as bad. still not a move i can really question.

It's too bad Baltimore's season ended tonight, but when C.C. pitches like he did (CG, 1 ER, 9 (or 10, I forget) 10 K's), it was a tough task for the Orioles to overcome. It should be a great LCS with Detroit, whom I'm still picking/want to see win the pennant.

But if the Nats can keep it up and put the hurtin' on the Cards to advance to the NLCS, that would certainly make up for the Orioles' departure! :D
