Amazing that's actually where I got the idea for Puerto Rico.
Despite the 7-5 win on Saturday (that saw Ryu notch 3 hits... 3!), the Dodgers were shutout in the other 2 games against the D'Backs over the weekend. Their lack of hitting is starting to look like a trend.
Yanks played "Sweet Caroline" tonight. Nice touch.
They should have worn Red Sox caps.
So I pretty much jinxed AJ's no hit bid last night. I came home from a 20 hour shift at work to see that on MLB.com he was throwing a no no into 7. What do you know I mention it on Facebook and bam he gives up his only hit of the night. Dumb move Terry, dumb, dumb move.
Cool Chart, in the spirit of #42.

Mets are beating the Nationals 4-0 in the Harvey vs. Strasburg matchup. Met fans are now chanting "Harvey's better!" It's pretty awesome.

Tonight's game has been postponed. We'll play two tomorrow: 10am and 4pm PT. #Doubleheader
Let's play two!
I was at the Pirates game tonight. Fun game to watch - Wandy Rodriguez had great stuff tonight.
It also felt like March baseball, more than April baseball, especially after yesterday's 80 degree weather. It was around 48, with a strong wind blowing throughout PNC.
Oddities all around
Not used to playing the Astros in April
Not used to there being interleague play in April
Not used to the Astros not being interleague
But, just to make sure something felt normal, the Indians lost.
Wandy pitched a gem tonight for the Pirates. It's also nice to see Pedro Alveras heating up with the long ball, hopefully he stay hot for a while.
What's with all the fuss earlier this week over that Ben Revere catch? I've seen much better than that.
Chris Young's catch against Milwaukee in 2011 is another level past it:
Oh, there's certainly been better, though I would thoroughly disagree about Young's catch being better. The ball Revere caught had a lower trajectory and he dove towards the wall for it. And Revere didn't get turned around on the ball.
but a diamondback made the young catch so it must be better.
Actually, I would think Revere's catch would be more publicized because of him being in Philly, compared to Arizona.
i was just making fun of josh because he is a giant homer.
I knew that. Just trying to explain the media circus.
Although is Revere was still in Minnesota, that catch wouldn't even be shown outside of local stations.
Roy Halladay has been fantastic in his last few starts. 15 innings, 3 ER in last two starts vs. 7 innings, 12 ER in first two.
Kuroda cruising against Toronto. Our top two pitchers have really been impressive since CC got shelled on Opening Day, in part due to Hafner and Wells really overachieving.
Edit: And after 0.1 innings from David Robertson, all of Kuroda's work is gone. That's about right.
I really wish Fox would give up exclusivity of the Saturday broadcasts. The Game of the Week nonsense is so outdated and random MMA fighters in the booth to promote tonight's UFC do not add to the broadcast.
Nava just went yard for 3R HR to give Sox the lead right after Neil Diamond sang Sweet Caroline live.
I was able to catch that, since the 1st Dodgers/Orioles game for today had ended moments before. First swept by San Diego, and then wasting a 4-0 lead early. It's been a frustrating week for the Bums.
DarthTunick I'm going to the Mets-Dodgers game on Tuesday night.
Kershaw going that night. Should be quite a game.
Point Given: Niiiiiiiiiice. The Bums should be able to come out of their slump by Tuesday.
