If that fellow wanted an accurate tattoo, he'd included the wavy rooftops of the outfield pavilion (bleacher) sections.

Starling Marte won it with a homer in the ninth!

The Nats lost so the Pirates clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 20 years. Pretty happy guy right now. This team is fun to watch :)

Bad karma for being essentially forced to switch leagues? :p

Certainly the better option that what could have been for Machado.

That would be the visiting dugout at the old Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, one of many sewage leaks there during this baseball season. Sure, they're now back-to-back division champs, and only 1 game back of Boston for the best record in the American League, but look at that **** the A's have to deal with!

Definitely sounds better than it looked last night on SportsCenter for Machado

Anyone else really hoping for a Braves - Pirates LCS?

One more Pittsburgh-supported team and I'm taking your Ohio card.

Nothing to do with supporting Pittsburgh.

Everything to do with enjoying symmetry. It was an LCS loss to the Braves that ended the last Pirates post season experience, and sent them on two decades of purgatory.

Me too obviously. Coming full circle 20 years later would be pretty cool.

IT STILL MEANS THEM BEATING THE REDS INTY JUST STOP

p.s. Billy Hamilton tied the game in a 12-11 win and hit in a homer and another RBI in a 2-0 win for me on 2k. [face_love]

Is he eligible for the post season roster? He's crazy scary on the bases.

Speaking of Cincinnati, an old high school buddy of mine had some rather niiiiiiiiiiice seats for last night's Mets/Reds game (he's been living in Cincinnati for a few years now):

He still remains a Dodger fan, though.

Yes. Anyone on the 40-man roster prior to September 1 is eligible.

    Amazing.

Yankees didn't make the Post Season. Guess that's no surprise. The glory days are gone my friends.

Would not be surprised to see Girardi leave. Our farm system is depleted, bloated contracts for aging players, and Hank determined to stay under the tax. Not the brightest days ahead, but we've had a good run, and we'll have another- may just be a few years, I think.

Todd Helton hit a solo jack in his last game at Coors Field, and got a curtain call. 17 years with the Rockies is certainly deserving of admiration. Great send-off.

The Helton home rum was all people were talking about around here yesterday. It was great to see. The people of Colorado really look up to the guy.

edit: And the Yankees not making the playoffs was great for the game imo. No A-rod BS to listen to during all of the playoffs.

Hopefully, the Twins won't be any good in the next four games. Especially not tonight, since I'll be there.

Heels ... I thought the Yankees were just going under the Tec line this year to avoid harsh repeater penalties?
