Think I found the only thing missing from this World Series.



Amazing.

 

After foolishly missing the last few games, I'm tuned in. I'm rooting for the Astros and a Game 7 to keep things interesting.

Oh I was going to ask, did you ever go to one of the WS games in Houston?

 

No. I never got a chance. I'm sure hotels would've been an arm and a leg that weekend anyway.

The only postseason game of any kind I've been to is a Spurs game during the Western Conference Finals.

Funny, the only Laker playoff game I've been to was the '08 WCF game 5 clincher.



Anyway...

 

The game I went to was against Utah, whose trip to the WCF that year was made possible by Golden State's famous Buster Douglas moment against Dallas.

I was out of town in strategy and planning meetings with my boss.

 

Didn't know there was ACTUALLY a baseball thread on this SW site! Woohoo-too bad I didn't discover this sooner.

Lost a LOT of sleep in the past week being here in Houston rooting for the Stros. Here's my pitching predictions for tonight:

LA: Darvish will be replaced by Wood in the 4th and then comes Kershaw in the 6th followed by Jensen in the 8th. Maybe someone between the two as I don't think Kershaw can do more than 1 inning.

H-Town: I HOPE McCullers can make it to 5th and will likely be followed first by Morton and then MAYBE Keuchel. Beyond that, I think Peacock is next. Will be interesting if the rationale behind removing Verly in the 6th was to use him in game 7 for an inning. However, the last third of the Stros line up is so suckulicious (except for McCann) that they didn't want to concede an automatic out from Verly just to hope to get to Springer.

BEST series of all time for sure! But this could have been over Sunday had the Stros not been shell-shocked on Saturday over Yuligate.

I was trying to watch the game via ESPN through a Chicago proxy server over my work network... from Hong Kong... (it was a good time)

 

Well, part of me is like "of course the final game is gonna be a blowout."

The other part of me is like "Games 1-6, though."

 

The Astros’ bats are alive tonight.
