    But you're referring to individual three/four-game series. I'm talking about the season series. I'm almost positive that Anaheim was the only team to at least tie, if not edge out the Yankees in the full season series between the two teams.

    the yankees were 5-6 against anaheim that year. they were also 6-6 against toronto. you should check out this website called baseball-reference if you ever have a chance. it makes it pretty easy to look up stuff like that.

    I use it all the time. I'm glad I remembered that they did have the losing record against Anaheim without having to look it up.

    Even if they did do bad in ST, that typically doesn't amount to anything in the regular season.

    That was a fun series in Puerto Rico. Lots of good baseball on display from both teams and the fans there sure had a good time it seems.

    Yeah, more recently the Sox haven't played as well against Anaheim as they had in the early to mid 2000s.

    So there's that. :p Very pleased the offense has spiked up some this week (in particular Grandal & Kemp!), but Jansen's troubles are worrisome. This weekend series out here against the Nats ought to be a good, interesting measuring stick for both teams.

    Just looked up his stats and yeeesh. I see he's in the Carl Pavano/A.J. Burnett/Jeff Weaver/Javier Vasquez/Kevin Brown tier of good starters who imploded when they came to the Bronx.

    So apparently the Sox' Minor League affiliate is having an "Evil Empire" weekend (May 4th, duh), where anyone named Joe or Kelly gets in for free and anyone named Tyler or Austin won't be let in. I really hate this team.

    I actually cannibalized that joke. I had a WoW guildie who was an Orioles fan who 100% did not like him beating them and said that (and then said he could never say that about a sports player ever again when the plane crash happened later)...
