When I was a little kid I went to PS8 Public School 8 In Staten Island NY I got to meet Mookie Wilson he came to my school!.

I still remember how tall he was and how big his hands were!

When I used to go to day camp on Long Island during the 80s as a kid the owner of the camp was good friends with the Mets' owners; and they had a special day during the Summer when several players from the team came to the camp to talk to everyone and sign autographs. My brother was the Mets fan; but between the two of us I couldn't tell ya what happened with all of those old autographs. I'm sure it included guys like Wilson, Darling, Carter, and maybe even Hernandez.

 

Sounds like the tattoo worker should have said, "Sorry, but I was eating a Milky Way."

 

This would be, even with the inevitable hassles (quakes, Santa Ana winds/fire conditions), incredible. I mean, even in a short time (5-minutes from what I’ve read), being able to take in the incredible views of the L.A. basin from that vantage point to & from games? Niiiiice.

 

Eh big deal. They've been talking about similar gondola rides going from the Jamaica subway Station in Queens to Citi Field as well as one going from Grand Central Terminal to Yankee Stadium.

 

I was kidding of course about the NY upgrades. I do think it's cool what they're doing in LA. All we have to look forward to is the completion of the 2nd Avenue subway. Yipee.

 

I had to take the hotel shuttle to and from Minute Maid Park last year.

In 2010, I got to park at Jerry World when I went to a Rangers game.

It's been over a decade since I parked anywhere in the Bronx for a Yankees game. Saves time, money, and headache by taking the train to the park. Same thing for the Mets games; but at least they don't clip you nearly as much as the Yankees' parking does (~$40).

 

I'm going to the Mets/Braves game in NY this coming Tuesday. Pretty good field seats along the third base side that were complementary from the MLB Foodfest I went to last weekend.

 

Blowing a 4-2 lead last night in San Francisco en route to a loss?
