Flash the Chaos Puppy thinks Cheetos are MMMmmmm Taste-Y!!!
Mmmmmm... Fruitloops and beer... The breakfast of college.
When we used to go on climbing trips, we'd have Lucky Charms for breakfast and lunch (and then a sensible dinner...LOL). And since we couldn't keep milk cold all weekend, we'd use Mountain Dew as a substitute. Yum.
Rachel won't allow me to eat that within 50 miles of her, though.
Lucky Charms and Mt. Dew... Hmmm... I'll have to try that sometime.
(Sounds like a good snack after a long night of coding)
I have nothing against the lucky charms/mt dew, it's just don't let Isabel see you eat them or she'll think that's the way you eat cereal...
Mmmmm, free freshly made white chocolate chip cookies with cranberry peices...even better than they sound.
Chocolate goodies, and little cheese cakes.
Rocky Ford watermelons from the midtown farmers market...not too cold...they is tasty. I ate five slices yesterday. And my new favorite pizza...pepperoni, canadian bacon and garlic...yumm-ay tast-ay!
Pepsi on ice...
Mmmm, seafood kabob that my roomate brought in...I started a good thing with the banana bread I had the first day she came. Not that I planned that...
RDT - I liked TIMA!
Due to my incredible love for the culinary arts, I have just learned that Patio frozen burritos just can't compare to the classic Little Juan for lunch.
Patio = Not MMmmmm Taste-y
Lil' Juan = Better Mmmm Taste-y
(Shoulda had PB&J!)
Today's lunch has a Raspberry Vinagrette dressing - Mmmmm Tastey!
It was so good I could have skipped the lettuce and just licked the bowl!
So that's what goes on while I'm at work...
Explains why the ewoks eat spagetti like they do!
Blood syrup on meat pancakes...mmmm taste-y...if you're a dinosaur...
Where the heck did THAT come from...
Those two darling little carnivors that we call our daughters!
Eggo frozen pancakes... the first time you eat them... not the 10th time...
(the girls want the Darth Vader Plate)
The first can of Mountain Dew after you've gone for about 2 weeks without it.
But not the 12th can. By can #9 I can start to taste the brominated vegetable oil in it, and need to drink Coke to use it's paint-stripping qualities to clean out my system.
And I dare not ask the Pepsi company why Mountain Dew is the only pop they make with brominated vegetable oil.
Well, I took a chance...
Pepsi Cola Customer Service on the back of the can...1-800-433-2652.
The automated message informed me that each can of Mountain Dew contains 55mg of caffeine. Not too shabby.
I pushed a couple buttons, and...OMG -- a real person????
"Wait...I got a real person???"
"Yep. We're here from 9am to 6pm EST everyday."
"Sooooo...you had a question?"
"Oh. Yeah. Anyhoo -- I've been drinking Mountain Dew for...well...I don't even want to think about how many years. Remember the promotion with points? I have a hoodie and an XBox from that."
"Um...you...[insert her laughing]...ummm...wow. OK, that's some sort of loyalty worthy of merit. Ummm...and you had a question about the product?"
So, I asked about the brominated vegetable oil, and she brought up their knowledge database, and this is what I learned:
In their fruit flavored drinks, trace amounts of soybean oil are used to preserved the flavoring. Since oil and water don't mix, it's processed in a way that gives it the ability to be mixed in water. Even though trace amounts of vegetable oil are used to preserve the flavoring, it doesn't add a significant amont of fat to the product that can be measured. Brominated vegetable oil is FDA approved, and your body processes it just like normal oils.
And she asked for my zip code, and...
"See? You learned something new today. It also says here that it's used in most fruit flavored drinks, so you've probably noticed it on cans of Sprite, Code Red, Sierra Mist, and stuff like that."
"You don't get an XBox by drinking Sprite, though."
"LOL. I guess not."
You are such a nerd. Did she ask for your address so you could get coupons or something?
BLT sandwich...MMMmmmm TAste-y!
Now I want bacon.
we should still have bacon. In the fridge, on the next to bottom shelf.

Had some with my breakfeast this morning.
