Yay, it's back somewhere that I visit

 

I like this hidden green business with the links in this forum.

It adds a touch of green.

 

You know, that is nice. Hadn't noticed.

 

The thing is, there's not a single spot of green anywhere else in sight.

Poor Mastadge.

 

You know, the banner I actually wanted for this forum, by HawkNC, was a forest scape with no people in it. Deep greens and water blues.

Would have made for a lovely color scheme and very peaceful.

I was voted down.

 

The Amphitheatre badly needs a new banner.

 

Has this banner ever changed? (I doubt it?)

It seems very Episode 2ish.

 

So who gets to vote on such things?

 

Vote on a banner change? Why, my good sir, that would be the moderator(s) of the desired forum, I would assume.

So okay, if Raven and I get to vote, and we disagree, who wins? And where's the banner you liked, Rogue? Still around anywhere?

 

I don't remember it exactly, but I loved that green banner.

If that counts for anything.

 

Hawk still had that banner last November. Let me see if I can dig it up.

Yeah, that's the one. It's his proposal, complete with color scheme.

The waterfall? It's very nice.

So how are banners changed?

 

The tech admin has to do it. I think Raven or somebody like that did it when I was a mod.

If we were going to have a contest, we could just submit a proposal to the MS and start a thread.

If, on the other hand, we want to just use the waterfall banner, then probably just PM Raven or somebody like that and say you'd like the banner changed. He'll have to work with it in the test forum, I think, to figure out what color scheme really works well with it.

And I should probably PM Hawk if we're going to pull his banner out of the 'three years ago' file and use it.

Generally, I think there's a contest, but I don't think it's a necessity, just something fun. Personally, I'd like to see Hawk's banner just go up, if everyone likes it.

But maybe we should check on that.

Just kidding. Tell me when and where and I'll vote for the green waterfall banner.

 

I like the waterfall, but I think we should ask the designer first, and also see if anyone else has a design to submit. The Jedi Library, for instance, might make a nice one. Or the class with the solar system from AOTC. And from Rogue's original description I thought the design showed the deep woods, which it doesn't exactly. Pastoral is always good.

Like the idea of no floating heads, though. This is a forum much concerned with design, so let's see some creativity, you lot!

 

I'm okay with a new contest. Maybe we'll get something even better.

Hopefully deep green though, whatever it is.

I'd say go with a contest as well, because you never know what amazing banners you may find then.

Out of curiosity, does that apply for every forum? I thought that Managers could change banners at their whim? (For example what about the rotating banners in some forums?)
