Saga The more you learned about the Jedi or as time went on did you dislike them more?

    please lock this thread. It's already gotten hostile. And to think I thought this was a "family friendly site"

    I may take a step away from SW and go back to Lord of the Rings.

    It might be that Luke's EU Jedi Order has shaped my perceptions some - but in that - at least before the PT came out - Luke trained everyone he found who was sufficiently strong in the Force - and sufficiently willing - married people, middle-aged people, teenagers, and so on.

    Some failed, some succeeded.

    That's fair, but I'm going just on dialogue from the PT movies regarding the PT Jedi. As far as PT-era EU authors...for the most part I trust Stover but after you posted those excerpts from Star Wars on Trial, I am now wary of his depiction of the Jedi. Luceno seems OK; not sure about most of the other authors.
