    I just read the 1st half of book 1.

    SPOILERS!

    Kyle Katarn fakes his death and goes undercover, but the bad guys aren't fooled, as they know there's no way for Kyle to die. So they enlist Waru to take Kyle down. That's as far as I've gotten. Oh, also some stuff with Jaden. Like, 20 clones of him going, "Wassup, Jaaaaaaaaaaaaden" to each other.

    The say no news is good news, but sometimes 3 years is a bit much. Paul Kemp commented on this duology in his recent AMA on reddit.

    On whether or not Kemp could reveal details or even a timeframe in which the books would be released:
    So the inference is that this duology is not cancelled yet, but there's a pretty good certainty that we won't see it for some time.

    It had already been, what, two years with literally no details even before the Disney announcement? I'm not holding my breath on it not being cancelled.

    NJO had books contracted out that got cancelled. Michael Jan Friedman wrote a full novel called Jedi Storm that was cancelled after completion, along with the rest of the trilogy he was contracted to do.
