The Movie and Television Character Draft (Champion/Dude/EF/Duncan lol/Winner --- EmpireForever!!)

Well, even Kong is in the Zilla movies, so yeah, they all are. Basically just used the ones I could find the most info on, or the more powerful ones. That way, it should be easier for GM's to find abilities and post videos for judges.

 

Well, technically speaking, it's not really the Godzilla series. Godzilla just happens to be the most well-known monster. Lots of them have been in monster movies that Godzilla had no part in.

Though, to make it easy to label, yeah, it should probably just stay as (Godzilla series).

And really, if King Kong were to be at all competitive against any of those other creatures, it would have to be the Japanese version of King Kong that fought Big G. Normal King Kong would get completely obliterated by the better monsters on the list, and just soundly and decisively beaten by the lesser monsters... that aren't him.

 

Yeah, the Pete Jackson version pales in comparison to hanging with Godzilla, like Japanese-Kong did.

 

Ah, that's who the Zoners are. They are all in season 6 basically. I've only seen the plant lady - I haven't seen any of the others. So I can't comment about them. We haven't got that far.

The only thing is, Zizz, is that other than the one comment that Neo makes about them being upgrades, they are, once again, virtually identical. Based on feats alone, there's no difference between the "upgrades" and what we see in the first movie.

I'm just going from memory, but I don't think those agents are shown any other time than right at the beginning of Reloaded....

And those new agenst seem about the same, I would agree. One on One Neo barely has to move a muscle.

Well they are definitely upgrades, that's one thing we're sure of. But I suppose you can't really see why they're better, so that would mean that it probably wouldn't make sense to have them on the list.

I just love the Matrix movies so much.

Ah well, at least we have a couple of new additions. Seraph's awesome, I'm REALLY glad he made the list. If he'd fast enough to hold down Neo for a while, then he's easily a higher end pick in the draft. How will the other agent that makes the list be names? Agent Jones/Brown?

 

Who fought Seresh in the video game?

 

How about you just get a pick called Agent (The Matrix), and anything a regular agent does(including Smith at his stage as agent) counts for your guy? Or maybe just everyone but Smith.

Yeah, I don't see a huge problem with that. I suppose picking a specific agent wouldn't do much good. I can't remember that nerdy looking agent from the first film (Brown I think) doing much of anything. The upgrades seem pretty solid though, and it's not like Neo dispatches them ridiculously easy. It's still a real fight, and Neo isn't yawning while fighting them, like he was when he beat Smith with one hand at the end of the first movie.

 

Actually, he kind of is. The onbly reason he's not yawning is because he fights three of them, and even then he's close to falling asleep.

 

So any thoughts on the Eragon characters I mentioned earlier?

 

I missed that, but I did mention way back when we were starting, before I saw it.


I dunno, the movie was lameness incarnate, but overall, they could be useful.

 

I haven't seen the movie, but the trailer on it looked ok. The dragon would be beneficial at the least, Saphira I think her name is.

 

I haven't seen Eragon either, but I agree that they could be useful. Besides being, well, a dragon, does Saphira have anything special?

That's what I was basically trying to say when I was asleep this morning. You don't really see a difference. Talon mentioned the fight in Reloaded between Morpheus and an Agent (thanks by the way! I forgot about it ); in the fight, however, Morpheus fares just about the same as when he fought Smith in the first movie. At that stage Smith was just like any other Agent. But yes, you know what I mean, so that's cool. I also like EF's Agent (The Matrix) suggestion - I think that would work great. I would actually exclude anything from Smith when using the above Agent (and I know, I just compared Smith in the example, but for the draft's sake I think it's better to keep them separate).

I will never pick a Matrix character, never ever ever ever. Matrix = teh suck.

EDIT: It actually looks like a decent set of vids, I just can't stand Keanu. His career highlight IMO was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, everything else is Hollywood poop.
