One usually isn't the greatest position though, because you get the last pick in the second round.

Personally I would prefer 4-7 (in a 12 person draft though...)

 

But at least it means that you can undoubtedly pick the man you must have above all else.

i rather was under the impression that we'd be able to draft people like thelma harper and urkle and carl winslow and eddie and bubba higgins and thelma harper and thelma from good times and j.j. and ... well, you know. people from t.v. shows. i'm really really really wondering what that list is going to look like now. will there be the karate kid? how about mr. miyagi? oooooh! what about wrestling!?!?!? will there be the hulk!? or the rock?! or the ultimate warrior?!!?!?

 

I don't think there were wrestlers on the list that I saw, but that is a good idea. I'm sure Inty will consider it. It is quite a diverse list...

 

Last I heard draft list was 231 characters. May be more since then.

We need to clear up who exactly is drafting in that Aragorn reserved spot. Generally speaking, reserving a spot to give to someone else is not allowed, and technically speaking, Dom reported in first. Although, Chim did technically say the magical word "Backup judge" first.

I don't really care which of you three take the spot, it just needs to be decided. If you want to have a fight to the death, that's fine. Or if you want to flip a coin, that's cool. Or all three of you GM the team and reach a consensus on who to draft, that's fine with me, too. Or, I can think of a number, and the one who gets closest via PM wins. Really, I don't care, just decide how you're going to solve the problem and who gets the spot, or I'll just have TBM pre-game ban all three of you. Just for fun.

And, I'll get a randomized order up tomorrow, along with the draft list. I'd do it now, but I'm not at my home computer. I'm at my mother-in-law's, being slowly defeated by a nasty head cold.

 

Can someone give me a few example shows or movies to know what kind of characters we're talking about here. Are we talking The Terminator or Snake Plissken or Lou Costello? Lou has taken on several monsters. Lou could irritate just about anyone on your list into not fighting him.

The majority of these characters are from action films

 

18 gms would be huge. I'm not sure if I'd like that for a first-draft, although it would guarantee more characters drafted, which is good for a first-draft, as it gets more judges opinions on more characters.

I suppose if Boogie has no problems, we can expand it to 18. It's just more people to game ban!

On the other hand, I do see why one would be hesitant to do that for the first "experimental" draft.
