Well, Fantastic 4 was better than Dukes of HAzzard.

and that is about all I can say about it. [face_plain]

When I was growing up, I had a Boss Hog action figure. His white cowboy hat came off even. He'd often escort my barbies to parties, even though he was 1/4 their size...

    :D

Man I miss that action figure...

    That is too funny! [face_laugh]

I had the General Lee Match Box Car. I loved it!

I had the Kit one from Knight Rider too. I was a Match Box Car freak!

I feel left out. I never had any DoH toys.

My childhood was limited to G.I. Joe and Transformers. But I liked Cobra much better than G.I. Joe. Most of my childhood was spent plotting to take over the world.

Let's see...we all had the flu for about 4 days so we watched a few movies...

Fever Pitch - I liked it, although I think the movie was made almost exclusively for Red Sox fans. I did learn what those numbers mean in a batting average.

Skeleton Key - I liked it too. It wasn't as good as The Others but I've seen worse...HooDoo is very creepy...

Elf - had to rent a Christmas movie, I guess I liked it well enough to see it again this year.

The Santa Claus 2 - bad idea...

Pergatory - The guy at the movie store handed it to me as I stood there in a daze so I rented it. It was weird and yeah, that about sums it up. A western almost in hell, I guess.

Shaolin Soccer - Unfortunately I haven't finished it yet but what I saw I really liked...I liked Kung Fu Hustle too by the same guy.

The Island - Of course Ewan M. was in it which made it worth watching but all in all I liked it. Sean Bean is always a good bad guy.

Of course I had a fever the whole time so this could all be delusional babbling...

We watched Layer Cake this weekend, and I thought it was a pretty good movie. Had it's funny points and an actual story. The ending sucked tho. I liked the first alternate ending the best, but I can see why they went with the one they did...
    even though it sucked.

    :D

We saw Narnia last night. I loved it! Disney didn't screw with the orginal story like I thought they would. I can actually say that it exceeded my expectations! :D

Brothers Grim was pretty good... Typical Terry Gilliam strangeness.

I saw Fantastic Four last night.
    Not to bad.
I have to say the only comic movie that I don't like so far
is Dare Devil. I haven't seen The Hulk.

I need to watch Brother's Grimm again, I'm sure I missed at least a few of the fairy tale references. We were arguing over whether the last girl was cinderella (glass slippers) or sleeping beauty (pricked finger) but now that I think back, he had to prick all their fingers, so probably cinderella....

The ewok watched it with us, and her comment was "Gooey monsters have weird eyes. and they are creepy." And then she had to carry her 'gooey monster' (chain mail) around and said it was following her everywhere. We have a strange child.

So my brother and sister and I watched the movie 'Alexander' last night. It was quite entertaining. Those costumes were so short! Every time we got a 'flash' of more than we wanted we shouted out 'crotch shot'! There was more inappropriate narrating of the movie as well. BTW, apparently all Macedonians are Irish...

I love watching movies with those two.. [face_love]

I watched Robots the other night. The ewok ran screaming from the room when I put it in and ended up falling asleep rather than watch it. Really, I thought it wasn't bad, had it's cute moments and some funny ones. The Blue Man Group did the music for some of it, and it was very...interesting. o_O

I passed on "Robots" too. I felt my 2 hours was spent better playing video games. LOL.

    I liked Robots.

We have been watching Season 2 of Family Guy. Some of those are so funny!

Last night Peter had a machine gun in bed and he was shooting up the room trying to kill a fly. D_N_T says, "OMG- it's Josh!" which was exactly what went through my mind too. ;)

I appear to be on a 'kid movie' kick...got Sky High, and it was actually better than I thought it would be. I might try to watch it without a little girl bringing me toys and asking me "What else do you want the bunny to get you?"

    :p

    LOL.

    :p

Guns are for zombies, the oil crash, and the downfall of society. Not flies.

Although, I wouldn't put it past Pat to try something like that. He shot his mom's fridge last year. In the kitchen.

You neglected to mention that HE wasn't in the kitchen when he shot the fridge that was in the kitchen.

Let's see... I have only watched two movies this week...I've been scrapbooking my childhood into albums-a huge project!

We watched one my old favorites - Chronicles of Riddick
    and then
The Wedding Crashers - it was funny but it seemed like it lasted about 3 hours or more. And then when they added Will Farrell I felt like it was just going down hill fast...

I didn't mind wedding crashers, but one time watching it was enough for me.

We saw Underworld 2 last night, and by golly, they EARNED that R rating the old fashioned way. And they made up for the lack of nudity in the first one. [face_plain]

Actually wasn't that bad, I enjoyed it as much as the first one. :D

My review on Underworld 2 -- meh...predictable. Werewolf special FX are still under par, even for a movie made in the 80s. Seriously -- American Werewolf in London had better werewolf effects. Everytime one was shown full-body, it screamed "GUY IN A GORILLA SUIT!!!" It's like they spent all their budget making the main bad guy a bad@$$, and then somebody said, "Oh crap. We're supposed to have other creatures in the movie, too, right? Call the costume shop and see what they've got on clearance."

Storyline was watered down and had a few confusing plot holes. After years of playing Vampire and Werewolf games (of which the first movie was based on, and the second...ummm?), my expectations of stories like that are unusually high, and I'm not even a vampy/wolf fan, so to speak.

Nudity was OK. I've seen more on USA "Up All Night" though.

It was still entertaining, though. What's-her-face would have made a much better Aeon Flux than that other what's-her-face. If you're bored and haven't had a vampire or werewolf fix in a while, I'd recommend it.

I'm excited to see it. I really liked the first one!

At Starfest a few years ago I won an Underworld T-shirt for playing their scavenger hunt and last week I had it on and turned out the lights and IT GLOWS IN THE DARK! I've worn it a hundred times and didn't know...

Anyway, I watched the 1980's Beastmaster this week followed up with Beastmaster 2 where they end up in L.A. Yeah, some things were better left as a memory...especially that second one-it was exceptionally stupid!

And tonight....Beastmast 3! Yes, they made a third one and I have never seen it. So I will go and waste a few brain cells and hopefully less than 2 hours of my life...[face_worried]

I liked underworld 2. although the FX were kind of lame. when they WW were attacking ppl in some points i thought they were using stop motion to film them. i was expecting a claymation T-rex to come into frame when that was going on.

and ghost busters 2 was one last night. i like that movie a lot.
