The first thing that made me wanna get a Blu-Ray drive (our TV is old and tiny)? LOST. But only once the whole thing comes out, not just the last season. Though hey, finally a SW release that comes with actual deleted scenes
Hmm...wouldn't the extended Podrace in the TPM DVD count as a deleted scene that was re-inserted? it certainly looked like one, as the level of FX didn't seem to quite jive with the rest of the sequence. I was surprised when the AOTC/ROTS DVDs didn't have anything like that added in.
In AOTC they added the sit down chat portion of the confession scene to the dvd. It wasn't in the theatrical release.
They could have taken out Palpatine's cackling in the Yoda duel and it would have been an addition to the film
I'm totally with Senny on this one. Everyone who likes the Saga as a whole, stay out of the way. *Squirts catsup at Tim*
I used to be a Comms Administrator CT manager, but have now rehabilitated myself. * Today I felt an urge to watch Fellowship Of The Ring tonight. I'm going to make a pizza in a few minutes. Let's see if I remember to watch it. *Of course, I have renounced my HTML powers, which would have come in handy for a strikethrough instead of a highlight above.
I watched FotR a month ago or so and I'm still madly in love with it. Oh Khazad-Dûm, the goosebumps you give me are entirely unlike those you give Gandalf
I did remember to watch FOTR last night. "You shall not pass!" An even more powerful scene for first-time viewers who don't know about Gandalf The White. I have to believe that there will be a lot of kids watching these films on dvd/blu-ray who haven't read the books and were too young (or not yet born) to see them in the theaters.
I did not know about Gandalf the White when I saw FOTR for the first few times. It was an incredibly powerful and emotional scene for me, especially as Gandalf was my favorite character.
Yeah, my mom hadn't read the books before I finally got her to watch FOTR and she was in tears when Gandalf took up Extreme Bullrogging. "Does he come back?!"-my mom
So I see. Since you're evidently worried about it, how about you fix it? I'll be moving on to other posts.
I do LOVE LOTR, however, I prefer the books to the films. While I was commuting an hour each way to work, I listened to all three unabridged audiobooks. Thank you public library!! They are as good as the Harry Potter audiobooks read by Jim Dale. So I moved this weekend. I hate moving. Loaded up the truck Friday night during heavy rain Earl. Drove up and unloaded on Saturday morning. Moved from a borrowed house to a third floor apartment. Washing Machine, three floors up. But I traded a 60 mile commute for a 1.5 mile commute. Now I walk to work. I save money AND get exercise!
