Something To Remember and Ray Of Light.

Also, Amazon says my TFA blu-ray was delivered today! It should be waiting on my desk after lunch!

I had just turned on the Madonna right before checking this thread, ha.
Excellent choices. Mine is just the Immaculate Collection right now.

I hope you got your TFA, General Kenobi !

Yep, watched most of the bonus disc first, then TFA last night. Tired this morning! [face_yawn]

Just heard "Black" on the radio for Mike McCready's 50th birthday.

I finished all the extras. LOTR/Hobbit really spoiled me. I can't help but be a little disappointed in ANY other extras anymore. I wanted all the documentaries to be longer and more in depth.

They were ok, but not five-star like LOTR.

I agree. So I've been picking up a bunch of complete, expanded score releases lately. I just received Star Trek Nemesis from Goldsmith. Generations and Insurrection are on their way!

I didn't know Nemesis had a complete score release. Hmmm.

Strilo Tim, what are your favorite songs from Pearl Jam, Backspacer, and Lightning Bolt?

Avocado: World Wide Suicide, Gone, Inside Job
Backspacer: Got Some, Just Breathe, Speed of Sound
Lightning Bolt: Getaway, Sirens, Lightning Bolt, Pendulum

Incidentally, Lightning Bolt contains the first PJ album track that I ever disliked from the beginning. Let The Records Play.

I was wondering if you'd call it "Avocado"!

I got a scare from the radio yesterday. I was walking by my mom as she was listening to the classical station, then I stopped and asked "Is that the theme from Superman?" It was, and it was followed by the theme from Jurassic Park. Now, it's not that unusual for classical stations to play JW scores, but two in a row? My first thought was, "Oh no, this must be a tribute to the late John Williams!" But no, it was just the DJ wanting to play more JW; he's still alive and well. What a relief!

Yes I am totally getting that bootleg. I already got the ones where they did No Code and Yield. I really hope Vitalogy is next!

I've been listening to John Debney's score for The Jungle Book lately. While it might lean a bit too close to John Barry pastiche in some areas it's a wholly entertaining score that's worth checking out.

Today marks the 74th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Midway, so tonight I'm watching Midway. That means a John Williams score! It's good, but quite a jump to ANH the next year.

I'm a big Madonna fan. She's way undervalued in the modern era, but that's life. Ray of Light, Bedtime Stories and Erotica are my top three albums. After those, Rebel Heart, American Life and Confessions. I like all her work though.

I saw Madonna in concert for the first time on the Rebel Heart tour! It was great. I eagerly await the Blu Ray release.
