My all-time fave band would have to be Aerosmith. I have their entire catalogue on CD and a few vinyl albums (now I'm really showing my age).

But I'm pretty much into anything that's not mindless, 4000 beats per minute, jigga-jigga dance music.

I like real music played by real people.

Some other CD's in my collection include things like Soundgarden, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Moby, Powderfinger, Tom Petty, Crowded House, Lou Reed, Kate Bush, and a few classical albums.

Dave Dobbyn! And Split Enz and Crowded House, and well there are hundreds of bands / artists in my CD collection. I'm obsessed with music, and have a particular fondness for NZ music, plus singer-songwriter types, and blues and...

In fact I work for a record company.

    Here are some of the websites I made (I'm a one-man "online" department);

    (I love my job!)

Norrad, want me to check the cupboard at work for Aerosmith posters etc, there may still be a couple of "Just Press Play" ones laying around...?

I'd have to say that the Smurfs and the Wombles LPs are the best music I've heard "recently". :)

There's just so much good rock music around at the moment. Some of the newer bands like Lifehouse, Alien Ant Farm (MJ covers ROCK!!), System of a Down etc, I really rate.

Good to see after the stagnant pond we had in the mid to late 90's IMO.

It seems to be that melody is where it's at now, not just cool riffs and squeally lead singers (eg. Axl Rose). Soft C**k rock has had it's day.

BTW Kiwi acts (IMO) are now every bit as good as any overseas acts. Feelers, Tadpole, Salmonella Dub, Che Fu, Fur Patrol. Although some of them are not my cup of java, you've got to admire their professionalism and the high standard of the finished product.

Nah. I have nothing to do with Neil, except I subscribe to the "tongue in the mail" Crowded House / Finn / Split Enz mailing list, so keep up with the play there.

Those Neil Finn concerts from April with Eddie Vedder, 1/2 of radiohead, Johhny marr etc have been edited down to a double CD & a DVD, due out next week! (again, not through my record company!) :D

    LOL,

I havent heard Britney Spears mentioned yet...

No really, I listen to all sorts of stuff. Kiwi musics great, Exponents, Crowded house, The Feelers, Zed. I'm also a big fan of 80's music, Roxette, Wham, The proclaimers, any of the real catchy stuff, and gotta love those one hit wonders like Come on Eileen.

I also like 3rd eye blind, Semisonic, Matchbox 20, Travis, the list goes on. oh yeah, cant forget the SW soundtrack, and any other movie score by John Williams, ie Indiana jones. Back to the future has a great theme too.

[Unashamed plug] my favourite band at the moment is a local group: Vahid, who are playing at the Dux de Lux on the 7th of December [/Unashamed plug]

I'm more of a radio girl--anything's fine as long as it's not too loud or too sugary.

    FurPatrol is cool. Love "Lydia".
