I'm excited to watch #1 Duke get shocked by the Marist Red Foxes tomorrow - and subsequently by every other team on their schedule.

Undefeated Gamecocks move to the top of the SEC with the loss from UK today. It's taken him a bit, but it's really starting to look like Frank Martin has turned around what was once a desperate program.

 

The Tarheels tried to give me a stroke and need to work on their free throws but pulled it out against Tennessee tonight.

 

The SEC is becoming a basketball power, really quickly. Not just Kentucky and Friends.

Rick Barnes at UT, Frank Martin at South Carolina, Avery Johnson at Alabama, Ben Howland at Mississippi State - all big name coaches bringing big energy to their programs.

 

Spartanburg, SC's Zion Williamson may very well be the next big thing in college basketball. Ranked #3 in ESPN's Class of 2018, dumped in 53 points (tournament record) at the Chic-Fil-A Classic, a prestigious tournament held in Columbia each year. Past participants include Steph Curry, Seventh Woods (now playing for UNC), Jodie Meeks (Orlando Magic), Isaac Hamilton (UCLA All-American), and Tevin Mack (Texas).

He's got offers from some big-timers - UConn, Georgetown, Kansas, Lousiville, Maryland, North Carolina, UCLA. UK is on his list, but no offer. And no Dook. Smart kid.

Also has South Carolina and Clemson on his list. If either landed him, it would be a conference-changing signing. Looking forward to watching this kid develop.

 

Grayson Allen has been suspended indefinitely by Duke for being a complete idiot his latest tripping incident last night. Hopefully this will get him straightened out, he makes it hard to root for him despite being a good player and being well liked by his teammates.
